5 Warning Signs of an Unqualified Online Fitness & Nutrition Coach

In this episode of Choose Hard, podcast host Cody McBroom discusses a topic that could ruffle some feathers with coaches in the industry who are not showing up in their coaching practice at the standard they should be! It’s a discussion on the “5 Red Flags of Online Coaches” and throughout this discussion you’ll learn exactly what to look out for when seeking a coach, to ensure you’re hiring an experienced, educated, and enthusiastic coach, who is more committed to your results than they are their paycheck. Here are the 5 red flags covered in this episode: 1.) Paid in fulls: If someone is adamant about this, it means they wanna make sure they get paid regardless of your results. Which suggests they care more about money then you personally. 2.) They don’t invest in coaching:Coaching is about being held accountable and continual growth, so if a coach isn’t doing this themself… 3.) They’re out of shape or unhealthy: Some get triggered by this but I tend to find that the ones who get triggered are also the ones who don’t take personal responsibility in doing the exact thing they’re expecting people to pay them for, which is insane and breaks trust. 4.) They don’t have any systems: I’ll just say this… Businesses are structured, hobbies aren’t… So if a coach doesn’t have a solid system that makes things efficient, effective, and somewhat exciting, they’re playing small and it’s more of a hobby than it is a business. 5.) Their content is all personal, not educational: I’m sorry but nobody improves their results from seeing your gym selfie pictures. Doing it for accountability or to prove you’re walking the walk? Great, I agree with that. But if that’s all your IG feed is about then you need to start guiding people, too. Cody is a veteran of the US Navy who served the United states for 6 years. Following his career in the military, as someone who was and still is ELITE when it comes to physical fitness – he dove straight into the training world and pursued a successful career in fitness.  But as time went on, Cody felt called to pursue a new path and decided to do what everyone around him said was crazy, due to having no real experience in this desired field AND having no resume for himself due to an almost entirely classified job history…. He decided to become a public speaker. Through a lot of hardships, training, and lessons learned, he became a successful public speaker, traveling the country and speaking in front of thousands of people.
