In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers making several transactions on Tuesday as they get ready to play the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. We discuss the waiving of CB Darius Slay and how the writing was on the wall for that move to happen. We also discuss Slay being waived with a non-injury settlement and what that may or may not mean. We also discuss the problems the Steelers have had when it comes to signing defensive players over the age of 30. The Steelers claimed former Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen off waivers on Tuesday so Alex and I discuss that transaction. We go over Thielen's fit on offense, how much playing time he might see, and what is addition to the 53-man roster might mean when it comes to WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who remains on the team's practice squad. We discuss the possibility of both Thielen and Valdes-Scantling playing on Sunday against the Ravens. The Steelers won't have DT Derrick Harmon (knee) on Sunday so we discuss what a big deal that might be when it comes to stopping the Ravens' rushing attack in Baltimore. December 1, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 57 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 13 Sunday home loss to the Buffalo Bills. As you can probably imagine, this show begins with a lot of gloom, despair, and agony vibes. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday afternoon inactive list and how the Steelers decided to sit CB Darius Slay as one of their five inactive players against the Bills. The Steelers sustained a few injuries Sunday, so we discuss what happened to ILB Patrick Queen and CB James Pierre. We also discuss QB Aaron Rodgers getting beat up more on Sunday against the Bills. The Steelers made a few transactions on Saturday with one of those being T Broderick Jones being placed on the Reserve/Injured list. We discuss Jones likely being out for the season and the offseason decision the Steelers have with him when it comes to his fifth-year option. After going through the newsy items related to Saturday and Sunday, Alex and I look at what all transpired at Acrisure Stadium against the Bills. We first talk about the play of the Steelers' defense and how poor things looked on that side of the football once again. We discuss the historical day the defense had, clearly a negative, and how the Bills offense ran at will against the unit by essentially spamming just two plays. We discuss the Steelersâ defense being unable to get to Bills QB Josh Allen on Sunday and how he used his legs, instead of his arm, to really impact the game. We also discuss the coverage bust the Steelers defense had on his lone touchdown pass as well. After beating up on the defense, Alex and I go over the lackluster play from the Steelers offense against the Bills. We talk about the unit's inability to run many plays, the overall lack of a running game, and how there was no passing game down the field to speak of. We discuss a few poor decisions that QB Aaron Rodgers seemingly made against the Bills and how he remains out of sync with TE Jonnu Smith. We go over a few things Rodgers had to say postgame in addition to things that OLB T.J. Watt said to the media. We also discuss the reaction Mike Tomlin had to Sunday's loss postgame. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Buffalo Bills at home on Sunday afternoon. With the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens both losing on Thanksgiving, Alex and I discuss the importance of the Steelers beating the Bills at home on Sunday. We talk about how a loss to the bills could potentially limit the Steelers' Wild Card spot chances down to one spot, assuming they donât ultimately win the AFC North division. Alex and I move forward in this show by looking at the Steelersâ Thursday injury report, and specifically what the current outlook is for QB Aaron Rodgers, CB Joey Porter Jr., and WR Ben Skowronek when it comes to Sunday's game. We discuss the likelihood of OL Andrus Peat being the starting left tackle on Sunday with T Broderick Jones sidelined for this Week 13 contest. The Bills are dealing with several key injuries this week as well and so Alex and I recap what their Thursday report looked like and how it seems Buffalo is likely to be without their two starting tackles on Sunday. We also discuss the news related to injured Steelers DL Daniel Ekuale being given a five-game suspension on Tuesday and the impact that has on him and the team. Alex and I then go over the list of injured Steelers players heading into Week 13 and that includes DT Derrick Harmon and T Broderick Jones already being ruled out for Sunday's home game against the Buffalo Bills. We discuss whether Calvin Anderson or Andrus Peat will replace Jones at left tackle on Sunday and if both DL Logan Lee and DL Brodric Martin-Rhodes will be active on Sunday with Harmon sidelined. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin addressed the health QB Aaron Rodgers on Tuesday, so we discuss the optimism he showed when it comes to the team possibly having their starter back on Sunday against the Bills. We discuss Rodgers not even being listed as the emergency third quarterback on Sunday. The Steelers sustained a few injuries during Sundayâs road loss to the Bears, so we discuss what happened to CB Joey Porter Jr. (hip), T Broderick Jones (stinger), and WR DK Metcalf (ankle) during the contest. We also discuss the prospects of Rodgers returning to action on Sunday for the team's week 13 home game. After going through the newsy items related to Sunday's game, Alex and I look at what all transpired at Soldier Field in Chicago. We first talk about the play of the Steelers' defense and how poor things looked on that side of the football. We discuss that unit's play against the run on Sunday and several plays of 10 yards or longer that were allowed. We also discuss the defenseâs inability to get pressure on Bears QB Caleb Williams on Sunday. The Steelers methodology and scheming late in the first half against the Bears really upset Alex and me. We also discuss the longest touchdown pass allowed by the Steelers defense on Sunday and how the coverage used on that play shouldn't have been completely utilized. After discussing the play of the Steelers' defense against the Bears, Alex and I then do the same when it comes to Pittsburgh's offense. We talk a lot about how QB Mason Rudolph played overall and his inability to effectively push the football down the field through the air. We discuss Rudolphâs intended air yard average as well as his completed air yard average. We also talk about how poorly Rudolph performed on Sunday when using play-action. While the Steelersâ running game was effective enough against the Bears, it still wasnt enough to help the passing game portion of the offense. The offensive line, in our opinion, played well overall. We discuss the tight end output, the overall lack of yards after the catch on Sunday, and much more. The illegal formation penalty on the Steelers offense late in Sundayâs game really disturbed Alex and me. We discuss how and why that shouldnât have happened and how a timeout should have been called to avoid the penalty. Special teams certainly played a role in Sunday's loss, so Alex and I make sure to hit on what went wrong in that phase of the game at Soldier Field. We make sure to discuss a few in-game decisions made by Steelers HC Mike Tomlin throughout this show as well. The Steelers are really just a mid team this year and that's been known for several weeks now. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 11 Sunday afternoon home win against the Cincinnati Bengals. Sunday's game included Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase spitting on Steelers S Jalen Ramsey, and it resulted in the former being ejected from that contest due to him throwing a punch. We discuss how Chase lied after the game about spitting on Ramsey and whether he or Ramsey will be suspended for any future games. We talk first about the play of the Steelers defense on Sunday and that includes us discussing the individual performances of several players. We talk about Chase being limited in the passing game, Bengals QB Joe Flacco holding the football longer, and obviously the two key takeaways for scores that were registered during the second half. Steelers CB James Pierre continues to play well on Sunday, so we discuss how he deserves to play ahead of CB Darius Slay moving forward. We also discuss the bad penalty called on Steelers OLB T.J. Watt on Sunday. After discussing the play of the Steelers defense against the Bengals, Alex and I then do the same when it comes to Pittsburgh's offense. The Steelers played very poorly on offense against the Chargers and QB Aaron Rodgers had a big hand in that. We discuss the offensive woes the Steelers had against the Chargers and that includes the unitâs ineffectiveness on third downs and the inability to produce explosive plays. We discuss a few huge misses that Rodgers had down the field and the running game only had just a few bright spots on Sunday night. The two interceptions are discussed in addition to the failed fourth and goal play. Overall, we struggle to produce very many positive things to say about Pittsburgh's offensive effort on Sunday night other than to conclude it was very offensive to watch. While the Steelersâ defensive play wasnt awful against the Chargers, the unit still failed to register any takeaways to go along with their five sacks of QB Justin Herbert. We discuss the good, bad, and the ugly when it comes to the Sunday night play of that side of the football. We discuss the quick snap to throw time of Herbert. The few big plays the Chargers offense registered, and much more. The Steelers werenât great when it came to special teams play on Sunday night, so we go over that phase of the game from the Sunday night loss as well.
