While one of the Steelers' goals should be to solidify the offensive line as soon as possible,

as in get all of their draft picks in starting positions so that they can develop together as a unit and build

that cohesion with rookies like Jennings Dunker and Maxi Hanachor. It's probably still in the

team's best interest to get Broderick Jones involved in 20 2006. It's not because his play has been amazing, though it was improving last year prior to the

injury, but if he doesn't play at all this year, it will be essentially a wasted first-round pick.

Some people already view it that way, since they already drafted his successor, but

the Steelers could still get something in return for Broderick Jones if he plays in

26. If he doesn't, he will most likely sign a low-level prove-it deal next year that won't even

return a comp pick. So the Steelers should want him to play, even if it's just half the season.
