Feelings of the day are torn, confused, excited, and pumped! After they go over the reasons behind all of these feelings, Kat then talks to Amy about the "solo-maxxing" trend, which is the growing movement of people actively choosing to stay single and actually thriving because of it. Then Amy goes over a list of subtle shifts women can make to get a man to play the long game. Some of these are genius. Some of them we would never do. What’s in Amy’s algorithm: a man that spent six years watching nearly 2,000 episodes of Wheel of Fortune to figure out whether husbands who publicly compliment their wives stay married longer. The results are wild. Plus the story of a woman who texted her late father figure's phone number for four years without knowing it had been reassigned, and what happened when the new owner finally wrote back. And lastly... the farting conversation continues. Listeners are calling in from all over with thoughts and stories about passing gas!!! Get some Feeling Things merch by clicking HERE! Do you ever feel like you’d be more creative if you were simply more disciplined? Like you need to get your life together to get some creative work done? That if only your proverbial ducks were in a row, then you’d have access to the creative genius you’ve always imagined? What if the opposite is true? In today’s episode, I explore the relationship between creative resistance (procrastination, laziness, lack of discipline, being “stuck”) and creativity itself. And my take is this: maybe you don’t need to be more disciplined to be more creative. Maybe you need to accept the power of procrastination for what it is: an open door to your creative longings. Join me to unlock a radical acceptance of your laziness, your messiness, your procrastination, your avoidance, your hesitation and even your self-doubt. What if they all belong? June 2026 is a curious, intense, and profoundly internal month setting the stage for massive external disruptions later this summer. In this episode, we break down the June energy forecast, exploring the potent 1+7 numerology frequency that brings a massive psychic awakening—along with a heavy shadow of isolation and delusion. We discuss the major astrological shifts, including Chiron entering Taurus (initiating a new 7-year collective wound around money and worth), Uranus squaring the Nodes, and a late-month Mercury Retrograde. This month is a point of no return: stop keeping secrets, tend to your nervous system, and find the community that enriches your soul. In this final episode of the Teenager Brain series, Leanne dives into the root of it all: the identity crisis. Teens today don't have a stable sense of self. They don't know who they are, what they value, or what they stand for. And their sense of self rises and falls with every like, every comment, every comparison. One day they're confident. The next day they're convinced they're not enough. And you're watching it happen—not knowing how to help them. Here's what makes it even worse: Nobody knows what's real anymore. Your teen is scrolling Instagram, comparing themselves to someone's "perfect" skin—but they don't know it's a filter. They're comparing themselves to someone's "perfect" body—but they don't know it's AI-generated or Photoshopped. They're measuring themselves against a standard that doesn't even exist. Their self-image is being shaped by lies. By filters. By comparison culture. And they have no stable sense of who they are. But here's the good news: We can teach students how to build a self-image that's rooted in internal truth—not external validation. Leanne peels back the curtain on the 4-step system taught inside the Teenager Brain curriculum—the system that builds emotional fitness, which builds emotional resilience: Step 1: Regulate – Go from panic to calm in under 30 seconds Step 2: Separate – Separate truth from lies, data from drama Step 3: Narrate – Take ownership of your story instead of letting your brain spin worst-case scenarios Step 4: Use Your Inner Compass – Build a self-image rooted in who you are, not what the world says about you This is what happens when we teach students the 4-step system. Not perfection. Not eliminating hard things. Just giving students the tools to build emotional fitness—which builds emotional resilience—before these patterns become decades of struggle. Ready to bring these tools to your school or teen? Head over to TeenagerBrain.com to request a free sample lesson. You'll see exactly how the Teenager Brain curriculum works and test-drive a full lesson from the perspective of both the student and the facilitator. This is a 4-week plug-and-play emotional fitness program that teaches students how to regulate their emotions, separate truth from lies, and build a self-image that lasts—without adding to your workload. Amy & Kat answer questions from listeners about how to handle growing distant from friends you don't want to lose, how to maintain a friendship when you're in completely different stages of life, Amy’s experience with Al-Anon for someone that’s curious about it, book recommendations, their favorite ADHD hacks, and what happened with Amy and her boyfriend. They also read two listener emails: Mahaya from Oklahoma shares a book that might change how you think about uncertainty and decision making, and Emily from North Carolina writes in after finishing The Correspondent with the kind of email that reminds us why we do this. Love makes people do weird things and we're getting into all of it. Biting, tickling, farting, and whatever else happens when you're truly comfortable with someone. Plus, Kat is feeling grateful for the overwhelming sunscreen recommendations that came flooding in, and Amy is in a full good mood thanks to a new 10-minute self tanner that changed everything. Then... dumpster diving. A mom and daughter hit the jackpot behind Home Goods and walked away with a car full of brand new items, tags still on, completely free. Area rugs, ceramic vases, fleece blankets, baking dishes. They go over a list and the pro tips you need if you want to try it yourself. Sunday is apparently the day to go! And listener Susan from Austin writes in with a beautiful note, a baby name idea for Kat, a Canyon Ranch recommendation, and the kind of encouragement that reminds you why we do this. Amy’s algorithm exposed her to purity culture hot tubs with worship music…which led to Kat sharing her algorithm…it’s all pregnancy and baby stuff all the time (i.e. Kylie Jenner gained 50 pounds during her pregnancy.) Amy went over a list of insults so intelligent you don’t realize you’ve been roasted until a few thoughts later. Sam from Boston called in sharing her go-bag hack for contact lens wearers, and Heidi emailed giving us the full mineral sunscreen download after three years of family testing. Kat’s feeling excited and Amy’s feeling thankful! Amy also gets real about a candid confession from an ex who called her out for being on her phone too much during their relationship, which leads perfectly into the episode's first big topic. They break down exactly what your "OK" texts say about you. Whether you're sending a firm "OK." with a period, a passive-aggressive thumbs up, or a flirty "OKAYYY," your texting habits reveal more than you think. That conversation opens the door to a fascinating new study on phubbing, the habit of ignoring the people in front of you in favor of your phone, and how putting your device down can actually make you more attractive, warmer, and more likable to the people around you. On a lighter note, Amy and Kat make a case for bringing back the lost art of popping in on your friends, because sometimes the best hangs are the ones nobody planned. They also tease a potential vacation together and share a genius travel hack for scoring deeply discounted trips on reservations that other people had to give up. And finally, a listener named Ashleigh from Georgia calls in with an important food safety PSA: those frozen peas you've been tossing straight into your seven-layer salad? Yeah, you need to cook them first. Consider yourselves warned. Get some Feeling Things merch by clicking HERE! (FeelingThingsPodcast.com) Sign up for the Feeling Things newsletter HERE! Can you make money from your creativity? Of course. But does capitalism get in the way of your creativity? Also, I will argue, yes. On today’s episode I take up a conversation that has been going on for centuries: a conversation about the tension between art and commerce. Or as I will call it: creativity and capitalism. Except this time I take the conversation beyond how to create a beautiful thing detached from revenue to discuss how to live a life from a place of utter truth and authenticity, which is the ultimate pillar of creativity. In a world obsessed with the bottom line, this isn’t easy but it’s more important than ever. Link to Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way HERE! Unlock the power of your pure tone. In this episode of our chakra deep dive, we explore the Throat Chakra —the gateway of manifestation and the seat of your authentic frequency. It is about more than just the words you speak; it is the voice inside your head, the perspective you hold, and the magic you weave into your physical reality. We discuss how to move past the "internal programs" of self-doubt and scarcity to find the gravitas and magnetism that come from speaking your truth. From the physical connections of the jaw, neck, and ears to the upcoming shifts of Uranus in Gemini, we cover how to calibrate your communication for the new age of intuition. In this episode, we cover: The Anatomy of the Throat: Why neck pain, jaw tension, and ear issues are linked to your expression. Internal vs. External Voice: Identifying the "fear voice" and returning to your soul’s pure tone. Imbalance Triggers: How people-pleasing, over-explaining, and social anxiety block your frequency. The 3 Checkpoints: A powerful tool to use before you speak to ensure clarity and alignment. Epigenetics & Frequency: How your cells respond to the vibrations of your thoughts and words. The Magic of Authenticity: Using words as an inexhaustible source of healing and transformation. In this episode, Leanne dives into emotional dysregulation—why your teen melts down over the smallest things and can't bring themselves back down. When a teen experiences something that feels threatening, stressful, or overwhelming, their brain's alarm system (the amygdala) goes off and sends them into fight-or-flight mode. Their heart rate spikes, their breathing gets shallow, and their prefrontal cortex—the part of the brain responsible for rational thinking and emotional regulation—goes offline. That's why your teen can't "just calm down" when you tell them to. Their "sound mind" is literally offline. And here's the thing: In teenagers, the prefrontal cortex is still under construction. It's not fully developed until around age 25. So when a teen's brain goes into fight-or-flight, it's even harder for them to bring themselves back down. But here's the good news: We can teach students how to regulate their nervous system. We can teach them how to go from fight-or-flight to calm in under 30 seconds. Even if they've never been able to calm down before. Even if meditation doesn't work for them. The way we teach it at Teenager Brain is different—it's a foolproof way to access the nervous system through the sensory system, and anyone can do it. Leanne shares powerful examples of what changes when students learn to regulate—from handling friend drama without spiraling, to processing a bad grade without melting down, to navigating social media rejection without falling apart. This is what happens when we teach students how to regulate their nervous system. Not perfection. Not eliminating hard things. Just giving students the tools to process their emotions, respond instead of react, and be emotionally available to themselves. Ready to bring these tools to your school or teen? Then, Amy and Kat dive into Elizabeth Gilbert's (Eat, Pray, Love) fascinating "Hummingbird vs. Jackhammer" theory…are you someone who laser-focuses on one passion for life, or do you flit from interest to interest, collecting experiences along the way? Amy and Kat are feeling wow'd, worried, and relieved. Amy’s Aura Ring is flagging mild stress and Kat has a new scary TV show rec: Widows Bay. Amy wants to know: What are you loving right now? Email or call…we want to know what you’re loving!! Her current obsession is green peas, so the bar is low. Surprisingly, peas have impressive health benefits. Kat shares that she’s loving frozen mango cubes. Pro Tip: Let them sit out of the freezer for about 5 minutes and then eat. A caller from Spicewood, Texas checks in with her home defense strategy…which includes a .38 caliber, bear spray, and as a child, a stick she called a weenie stick for reasons that are exactly what you think. Naturally, now we all need a weenie stick by our beds at night. Do you want to clearly express who you are, process your feelings and emotions, and be able to engage with the world in a way that is grounded but also clear, meaningful, and purposeful? This week, we move from the fluid, emotional depths of the sacral into the Heart Chakra—the sacred bridge between our physical reality and our highest consciousness. Right now, we are collectively being asked to move from the "Human Doing" back into the "Human Being." In this episode of Soul Sessions, Amanda explores how the heart is far more than just a center for kindness; it is an electromagnetic powerhouse and the gateway to 5th Dimensional energy. When we clear the heart, we stop living from our conditioning and start living from our essence, allowing manifestation to click into place with multi-dimensional speed. This episode explores: The Bridge Between Worlds: Understanding the heart as the meeting place between your lower physical chakras and your upper spiritual centers. The Paradox of Expansion: Why touching your deepest pain and suppressed sadness is the exact key to experiencing infinite love and oneness. Human Being vs. Human Doing: Shifting from the "administration" of your life to the legacy of your soul. Why are you really here? The DNA of the Heart: The physical connection between the heart’s anatomy, your DNA, and how breathing into your chest clears the pineal gland to activate intuition. Breaking Time and Space: How to recognize those "glitch in the matrix" moments of pure bliss where the 5D frequency takes over. Clearing the Log Jam: How to identify ancestral, karmic, and genetic conditioning that manifests as tension in the ribs, lungs, and thoracic spine. The Witness Effect: The science of "Paying it Forward" and why witnessing kindness provides a bigger energetic spike than even receiving it. WORK WITH THIS EPISODE For the next 7 days, focus on the bridge of your Heart Chakra: The 4-Second Inhalation: Inhale deeply through your nose for 4 seconds. Feel your chest expand and visualize your spinal fluid traveling from your sacrum up into your brain, washing your pineal gland and clearing the "log jam." Body Awareness: Notice any tightness in your intercostal muscles (between the ribs), shoulder blades, or chest. When you feel tension, acknowledge the emotion behind it—whether it’s sadness or joy—without bypassing it. Acts of High Frequency: Perform one random act of kindness with "no strings attached." Notice how the energetic exchange shifts your frequency and the frequency of those who witness it. Visualize Emerald Green: During your morning routine, envision a vibrant green light (Jade or Emerald) emanating from your chest, acting as a signal to the field that you are open to receive and ready to lead from love. Reclaim your agency and authority by standing in your truth—whether that is the weight of sadness or the radiance of joy. By refusing to bypass your emotions, you bridge the gap to the mystical and the otherworldly. Embrace your frequency, live it honestly, and watch how it transforms everything you touch! In this episode, Leanne exposes the attention crisis that's affecting every single teenager right now—and reveals what social media platforms know about teen brains that most parents and educators don't. The average teen now spends between four and five hours a day on social media. And teens who spend three or more hours a day have double the risk of anxiety and depression. Heavily addicted younger teens show two to three times the risk of suicidal behavior. But it's not just about the time. It's about how their brain is interacting with the content. Every swipe, every like, every new video delivers a hit of dopamine—the "feel good" neurotransmitter. And over time, the teenage brain learns to crave that dopamine hit. It becomes addicted to the scroll. And when the scroll stops, the brain goes into withdrawal. Leanne breaks down the three major forces rewiring teenage brains: dopamine dysregulation, chronic distraction and the death of deep focus, and comparison culture that ties self-worth to external validation. But here's the good news: Dopamine dysregulation can be reversed. Attention can be retrained. And self-worth can be rebuilt from the inside out. Leanne shares powerful examples of what changes when students learn to notice the dopamine trap, separate their worth from their likes, and retrain their attention—so they're not slaves to the scroll anymore. After sharing listener Taylor's incredible 300-day deployment update last week, she wrote in again with more details on what finding herself actually looked like, and it is the most practical and beautiful list. Her dad also sent in a sweet note about her, and we think that is just the sweetest thing ever. Taylor mentions "grace" in her update, which reminds Amy of the blog post her sister Cristi wrote about grace many years ago when they had a blog together. Amy reads the post inspired by their mom's death and a nearly empty bottle of soap called Pure Grace. Plus a listener named Amy from Fort Gibson, Oklahoma has had a reminder in her phone since August of 2025 to share her egg story, and she finally called in. And fun fact: babies apparently smile in the womb when their moms eat carrots and scowl when they eat kale, which honestly tracks. Get some Feeling Things merch by clicking HERE! April felt like things were being ripped at the seams, but May 2026 brings a different kind of intensity. It is a month of deep embodiment, psychological complexity, and intuitive awakening. While the tone is softer than last month, it is far from simple. In this episode, we dive into the Universal 6 Month (in a 1 Year) and explore how to navigate three massive energetic themes: Reciprocity, Limitations, and Intuition. With Pluto stationing retrograde and Mars entering a harsh square with Pluto at the end of the month, May is a call to put on your own oxygen mask first so you can show up without resentment. In this forecast, we discuss: The Power of the 6 & 1 Numerology: Why personal responsibility is the key to your health and happiness this month. Astrology Deep Dive: Navigating the Scorpio Full Moon, Uranus in Gemini’s impact on your nervous system, and the "lay low" dates for the Mars-Pluto square (May 25–27). Honoring Limitations: Why your boundaries aren't failures—they are instructions for your future self. May is the month to be the "Oak Tree": Deeply rooted in the earth, yet reaching toward the sky. It’s no secret I’ve been stuck in my creativity lately (and my fertility). So as a way to reignite my life force energy, I’m going back to the basics. I’m forgetting about my audience and moving toward what makes me happy. Which has me thinking: If you’re creating your art for an audience, is it really art? Is creativity with a specific end in mind really creativity at all? In this episode, Leanne dives into why schools have become mental health first responders—and why they're not equipped to handle it. 96% of schools report skyrocketing mental health needs, but only half have the staff to address them. Counselors are managing caseloads of 400-600 students. And teachers—who became educators to inspire minds—are now carrying the emotional weight of 30+ students every single day, leading to record burnout rates. 60% of teens who receive mental health support get it exclusively at school. So when the system is overwhelmed, students fall through the cracks—and parents feel stuck with nowhere to turn. Leanne pulls back the curtain on what's really happening in schools, why teachers and administrators are drowning despite working their butts off, and why this is a systemic problem no one could have seen coming. But here's the good news: There IS a solution. And it doesn't require hiring more counselors, years of therapy, or overhauling the entire system. It just requires teaching students the tools to regulate themselves. Leanne shares real examples of what changes when students learn to regulate their emotions in under 30 seconds, separate data from drama, and build a self-image that doesn't crumble—so parents and teachers aren't carrying it all. Amy yelled at a kid flying through her neighborhood today and she has zero regrets. A listener writes in about a boss who vents about motherhood in ways that feel uncomfortable and she genuinely wants to know if she is being too judgmental or if her feelings are valid. Amy and Kat talk through it. Then a letter from Taylor in Virginia Beach that will be the biggest encouragement to you. Taylor's husband is deployed on the USS Gerald R Ford which just set the record for the longest deployment since Vietnam. She wrote in last year with a game plan to not just survive but thrive and she is writing back to say the Lord answered that prayer…300 days later! Her words at the end of this email are something everyone needs to hear whether you are in a hard season or not. Here’s part of the email that Taylor left that we loved: “I am so sorry this is part of your story. I know it seems scary.. AND you were made for this. This season will be a gift because it will force you to see what really matters and you’ll get to build your life around it. Feel the feelings and also if you can have any joy or fun in your day- fight for it. It’s good for you. Don’t wait for this season to end to enjoy life.. you are strong enough to do both.. to face this hard thing and enjoy your life while doing it. It’s okay to say no and honor your limitations, it’s even better to let people in to help you. You have what it takes to do this, because it doesn’t have to be done perfectly, you just have to show up. There will be hard moments but they will not last. So grieve the season’s pain, and get up and face the day. HAVE THE DAY YOU NEED TO HAVE. And you may just find out that this season turned you into the person you wanted to be all along.” Get some Feeling Things merch by clicking HERE! Amy sits down with Matt Smallbone, lead pastor of Church of the City in downtown Nashville and author of the new book The Prayer Experiment. Before he was a pastor he spent over a decade touring the world as a bass player with artists including Michael W. Smith, Rebecca St. James, and KING + COUNTRY. Matt openly admits he once struggled with prayer himself and what happened when he committed to praying the Lord's Prayer every single day for a year will genuinely surprise you…from this The Prayer Experiment was born. The Prayer Experiment is a book for anyone who has ever felt like they don't pray right, given up because prayer felt dry and formulaic, or quietly wondered if it even makes a difference. Matt weaves together biblical teaching, honest personal stories, and a little Aussie humor to explore each phrase of the Lord's Prayer. It includes a thirty day guide to help you build a prayer practice that actually sticks. The surprising truth? You never outgrow the Lord's Prayer. It is simple enough for a child, deep enough for a theologian, and strong enough to hold you for a lifetime. Kat is feeling scattered and Amy is feeling thankful. While, can’t remember why exactly she feels that way, she does know that she hates the saying: “Wet my whistle.” The mention of “whistle” makes the conversation take an interesting turn. Amy is also fully convinced her Oura Ring is going to keep her single forever because her sleep score now matters more than going out. Kat recommends a new game called Play 9 that might be their new favorite thing. A comment made about Amy talking with her hands a lot on an IG live sparks a chat about policing our own thoughts. Plus a list of signs that a friendship feels like home and whether Amy and Kat's friendship checks all the boxes. And new research from Oxford shows most women have about five close friends and what happens to that number when a new relationship comes along. Get some Feeling Things merch by clicking HERE! I watched the most recent cult document released on Netflix over the weekend called Trust Me: The False Prophet. It is an absolutely disturbing and important show. It’s the most recent in a long line of cult documentaries and crime podcasts I’ve watched over the years and I have noticed a pattern, a list of behaviors and dynamics that can coerce otherwise intelligent, successful, big-hearted people to do things they would otherwise find abhorrent. Most distressingly, none of us are immune. These tactics are common and effective. And they are deployed all around us, as we speak. So how do we stay in our power? On today’s episode, I share what I’ve learned from many years of working with writers and the powerful tool for accessing agency that is at your fingertips perpetually, no matter who you are. If you’ve been feeling a lack of agency, stuck in loops of scarcity, or like you’re constantly reacting to life rather than leading it… this episode is your recalibration point. This week, we move from the fluid emotions of the sacral into the "fire" of the Solar Plexus. As we navigate this period of accelerated energy, this center acts as your internal level—the bridge between your lower instincts and your higher consciousness. What many experience as chronic inflammation, adrenal fatigue, or "foot-in-mouth" syndrome is often a Solar Plexus struggling to metabolize the world around it. In this episode of Soul Sessions, Amanda explores the "Mighty I Am." Because when you master your seat of power, you stop outsourcing your resourcefulness to others and start magnetizing your reality from the inside out. This episode explores: --The Seat of Personal Power: Understanding the Solar Plexus as your calibration point for consciousness and manifestation. --Metabolizing Life: How your gut isn’t just digesting food—it’s digesting your environment, your experiences, and your day-to-day interactions. --Fear as a Distortion: Identifying the two primary fear programs—the fear of losing what you have and the fear of not getting what you want. --The Gut-Brain Connection: The science of serotonin in the gut and how unconscious programming lives in your digestive center. --Agency vs. Powerlessness: Reclaiming your ability to choose, change your mind, and take personal responsibility for your actions and attitudes. --The Physical Toll: How Solar Plexus imbalances manifest as chronic inflammation, adrenal strain, and weight fluctuations. --The Internal Broadcast: Auditing the "shadow" dialogue—what are you unconsciously broadcasting to the world through your fears? WORK WITH THIS EPISODE For the next 7 days, focus on your Solar Plexus to shift from reaction to agency: --The Fear Audit: Ask yourself daily: "What am I afraid of right now?" and "Is scarcity shaping my decision-making?" Awareness is the first step to clearing the distortion. --Check Your "Input": Be mindful of what you are ingesting—both nutritionally and energetically. Focus on balancing your gut and colon to boost your physical lifeforce. --Monitor the Dialogue: When you catch yourself in an internal loop or a "foot-in-mouth" moment, pause. Choose a different response to reclaim your agency. --Visualize Yellow: Envision a bright, steady golden-yellow light at your navel. See it as a level, finding its center and steadying your confidence and resourcefulness. --Somatic Check-in: Notice where you feel "tight" in your midsection. --Practice deep belly breathing to soothe the interface between your nervous system and your physical body. In this episode, Leanne launches a special 5-part series on the teenage brain crisis—and why today's teens are struggling in ways we've never seen before. Nearly 1 in 3 teen girls seriously considered suicide in the past year. 42% of high school students report persistent sadness or hopelessness. This isn't just a mental health crisis. It's a brain wiring crisis. Leanne explains how social media is fundamentally rewiring the Anterior Cingulate Cortex (ACC)—the self-image brain—for anxiety, comparison, and emotional dysregulation instead of resilience. The patterns being wired into teen brains right now will become the default settings they live with for decades. But here's the good news: Teen brains are plastic. They can be rewired. And ages 12 to 25 are the most transformable years of life. Drawing from her own teenage struggles and 15 years of coaching adults through patterns that started in adolescence, Leanne introduces the four critical tools every teen needs to build emotional fitness and resilience before these patterns become permanent. Ready to bring these tools to your school or teen? Head over to TeenagerBrain.com to request a free sample lesson. You'll see exactly how the Teenager Brain curriculum works and test-drive a full lesson yourself. We're looking for our next 25 pilot schools for Fall 2026. They share practical tools for raising capable, resilient kids and answer everything from screen time (did you know a family media calculator exists?) to parenting college aged kids and what to do when your child is capable but just refuses to try. This conversation covers it all. They also tackle how to raise more empathetic kids, what to do when your child's emotional age doesn't match their actual age, and why the WAIT acronym might be the most useful tool ever. Plus a rapid fire round with Sissy and David that is not so rapid but gives some really good insight. Kat is overwhelmed by ‘stroller TikTok’ and genuinely scared of Waymo cars. Amy is sitting with some shame after totally bombing a “feelings” quiz. Amy’s reminded of a reel she saw a woman post about being the “single friend” and then Kat shares a list of things she does not understand including why iced coffee costs more than hot, how superglue never gets stuck in the bottle, and how dry cleaning works. Amy discovered an app called Yuka that scans the barcodes of your food and personal care products and rates them on ingredient quality and it’s addicting (Kat warns that this app might not be good for everything depending on where they are with disordered eating.) In this episode, Leanne explores the question: “What would it look like to trust God with my body?” Drawing from her personal journey and the experiences of many women, Leanne delves into the idea that trusting God with our bodies isn't about achieving perfection but about surrendering control and embracing our God-given worth. Leanne outlines five transformative shifts that can lead to healing: ceasing the pursuit of worthiness through self-fixing, discerning God's voice over shame, moving from control to stewardship, partnering with God in our journey, and anchoring our identity in Christ rather than our reflection. This episode serves as a compassionate guide for those seeking freedom from body image struggles, reminding them that peace and healing are possible through a partnership with God HOST: Leanne Ellington // StresslessEating.com // @leanneellington To learn more about Leanne, head over to www.LeanneEllington.com, and to share your thoughts, questions, feedback, or guest suggestions instantly, head on over to www.WhatsGodGotToDoWithIt.com.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

If you’ve been feeling over-reactive, stagnant, or like your emotions are a tidal wave you can’t quite control… this episode will help you understand why. Right now, we are collectively moving from the "doing" of the root into the "feeling" of the sacral. What many experience as emotional leakage, overexplaining, or a constant need for external validation is actually a sacral chakra that is either blocked or overflowing without a container. In this episode of Soul Sessions, Amanda moves the conversation into the fluid center of the body. Because once you learn to use your emotions intelligently, they stop being something that overpowers you and start becoming your greatest superpower for manifestation and direction. This episode explores: Emotional Intelligence vs. Emotional Overwhelm: Learning to see feelings as information rather than immediate instructions. The Power of Receptivity: Why western "hustle" culture blocks the sacral and how to attract opportunities, money, and love by doing less and receiving more. Identifying Emotional Leakage: How overexplaining, seeking social media validation, and replaying mental dialogues drain your life force. The 21-Second Rule: Why sitting with a trigger for less than a minute can shift you from a reactive state to emotional neutrality. The Physical Connection: How the sacral impacts the hips, pelvis, lower back, kidneys, and reproductive system. Reclaiming Sovereignty: Moving away from putting your happiness in the hands of your spouse, children, or friends and getting back into the driver’s seat. Magnetizing Reality: How clear emotional energy acts as a signal to the field to bring in health, wealth, and community. This is not about denying your feelings or becoming "numb." This is about becoming the person who leads their energy, rather than the person being led by their triggers. WORK WITH THIS EPISODE For the next 6–7 days, focus on your sacral chakra: Pause Before Reacting: When triggered, sit with the feeling for at least 30 seconds before responding to a text, email, or person. Practice the "Simple No": Notice where you feel the need to overexplain or justify your boundaries. Practice a clear "No, I can't," without the extra energy. Check Your Hips: Notice tension in your pelvis or lower back; use the jaw-opening exercise while holding your belly to release the connection between your voice and your center. Visualize Orange: During your morning or evening routine, envision a vibrant orange light in your lower abdomen, anchoring your sense of "deserve-ability." This week I asked my 4 year old a question that I realized was actually for me: How much would it take for you to be happy? As I watched him wrestle with this big question, I realized I have the same dilemma he does, the same dilemma all human beings face as we think about how we will love and live: do we surrender everything to discover love? Or do we fight for what’s “rightfully” ours? Do we defend ourselves and our possessions no matter the cost? The conversation stuck with me and got me thinking about a childhood book I loved, about the Garden of Eden (of all things) and about what a life of meaning really requires. If you didn’t listen to my episode a few weeks ago about how the worst people in the world sometimes have the most confidence—this week I’m revisiting the topic. This time, I’m coming in hot with some real-world examples of how my four and five year old kids taught me about confidence. While watching my preschoolers have the quintessential childhood experience of learning to ride a two-wheeled bike, I simultaneously learned about human nature, my own nature, and was reminded where confidence actually comes from. If you struggle with confidence sometimes like I do, first of all—you’re normal. Second of all, I hope you’ll enjoy these reflections on why confidence matters and what we can do to cultivate confidence everyday. Today's episode is going to be a wild ride, as we dive headfirst into a conversation that's bound to be one of the most raw and real shares we've ever had. Yep, you guessed it - we're talking about sex. But hold on, we're not approaching it the way you've heard a million times before. Our mission here at The God Pod? To flip the script and invite you into a judgment-free zone where we can explore your relationship with yourself (and with God) without any shame weighing us down. Joining me on this journey are my dear friends and mentors, Kevin and Rea Queen, who I affectionately call my "fairy godparents". Together, we're diving deep into my own experiences, baring it all in the hopes of showing you that there's no room for shame or condemnation when faith is your compass. When I first stumbled upon this whole idea of "saving myself" for marriage, I didn't fully grasp what I was getting into. But as my relationship with my now-husband evolved, so did my understanding of commitment. Before I knew it, we were on a journey of self-discovery and revelation, strengthening our bond in ways I never thought possible. And as our wedding day approached, I felt this urge to share our story, to shed light on how my faith journey transformed my views on love, intimacy, and self-worth. So here we are, laying it all out on the table, hoping to spark some honest conversations and remind you that your journey is valid, unique, and oh-so-worthy. Buckle up. April is not a month for the faint of heart—it is a dynamic, erratic, and electric rollercoaster designed to move you into your highest alignment. If you’ve been feeling exhausted, overrun, or like the world is moving too fast for your nervous system to keep up, there is a reason. We are moving through a 5 Universal Month in a 1 year (10), and the "window of opportunity" is opening. In this forecast, we dive deep into the psychospiritual connection between the current astrology and your physical body. With 9 orbiting bodies in Aries and the chaotic influence of Eris, the "Sewer of Discord," the energy is stirring up everything that has been hidden. We explore the 3 Major Themes of April: Chaos as Direction: Why disruption is actually a "white flag" of surrender and a reveal of what is no longer aligned. Velocity vs. Capacity: The world isn’t slowing down, but your capacity to hold more without fragmenting must evolve. Stop adjusting your truth to fit into rooms you were destined to lead. In this episode, we dive deep into the "Zero Point" of identity—the moment where old patterns have come full circle (or rather, full spiral) and we are forced to confront one question: Do I belong here, or am I still dimming my light to stay? We explore the transition from the fight-or-flight DNA of our ancestors to the 5D frequency of the heart. This isn't a season of proving your worth or "growing" into your power; it is a season of reclaiming your authority in real time. In this episode, we discuss: The Full Spiral: Why your growth isn't a circle, but a spiral moving toward your highest truth. Aries Energy & New Paradigms: Stepping into roles you don't feel "ready" for but know are your truth. The 3D to 6D Shift: Moving from material reality and mental static into sovereignty and energetic architecture. Authentic Register: Finding the frequency where you no longer have to change your voice to fit in. Boundary Reset: Why being "bored" with low-frequency connections is actually a sign of your evolution. It’s time to stop waiting for a knock on the door. The energy of this moment requires action—building your new identity one brick at a time and refusing to adjust your vibration for anyone who cannot meet you at your level. Plus a listener in a new-ish relationship asks how to support her partner as he quietly grieves the everyday moments he's missing with his daughter after divorce. Amy and Kat talk through what real support actually looks like when there's nothing to fix, just something to sit with. Get some Feeling Things merch by clicking HERE! If you feel like you’re losing your mind, your mojo, or your clarity—you aren’t wrong. We are currently walking through an "energetic depression" and reorientation. This month is about integration, not just execution. While the 4 Universal Month energy (within a 1 Universal Year) pushes us to "get ‘er done" and get organized, the heavy astrology of Eclipse Season and Mercury Retrograde creates a "mirage in the desert" effect. We can see the future timeline, but we can't quite touch it yet. Key Themes Today: The Shadow of Urgency: Understanding why we feel like nothing is happening fast enough. Trimming the Fat: Getting organized and cleaning up your energetic field. Authentic Response: Learning to listen to your field instead of seeking quick fixes or more consumption. The Battle for Light: How to stay human and grounded during times of spiritual and energetic "warfare." The Takeaway: The fire hasn’t landed yet, but the restructuring is real. Don’t push—do things truer and deeper. Your purpose is evolving rapidly; keep your wits about you and find your people. Looking for a community of like-minded individuals? Join us for a deeply personal conversation as we sit down with Jenny Robinson-Clark, debut children's book author and my dear friend of over 30 years. Jenny opens up about her heart-wrenching journey following the loss of her mother and the miraculous signs from heaven that inspired her beautiful book, "Are You Here?: A Story about the Magical Signs All Around Us." When Jenny lost her mom, her world was turned upside down. But in the weeks that followed, something extraordinary began to happen—she started receiving signs. A rainbow on a cloudy day. An owl on her porch. A butterfly in the park. At first, she wondered if she was imagining it. But the signs kept coming, and she realized: her mom was still here. Not gone. Just... different. In this episode, Jenny shares how God orchestrated those sacred moments and used nature to speak to her grieving heart, why she felt called to write a children's book that teaches kids (and adults) that love never leaves—it just changes form, and the heartbreaking question every grieving child asks—"Can they still see me?"—and why her book answers with a resounding YES. This isn't just a children's book. It's a bedtime story that heals, not just entertains. It's for anyone who's ever lost someone and looked for a sign—and found one. Join us as we explore Jenny's beautiful story of hope birthed out of grief, and learn how to open your heart, ask for a sign, and trust that your loved ones are still with you. Be prepared for an inspiring conversation filled with faith, wonder, and the reminder that love doesn't end—it just finds new ways to say hello. Have you ever had a situation where your mind said “yes” but your body said “no”? Or vice versa — your mind said “no” and your body said “yes”? Maybe someone asked for your help and your mind told you that helping was the kind, generous thing to do but you also felt your stomach tighten, your breath constrict and voice shake as you agreed to be of assistance. We’re quick to dismiss our bodies but at what cost? The body speaks in whispers; but then when we don’t listen, it speaks louder and louder until it gets its message across. What might your body be saying that you aren’t hearing? How much louder will it have to speak before you listen?
