This week, we have a presentation from the Sins and Survivors Podcast hosted by the talented Shaun and John. I'm sharing this episode about the disappearance of Karla Rodriguez - this is a case that needs more attention. Karla Rodriguez, whom her family called “Karlita” was like any other 7-year-old little girl living in the Las Vegas Valley in the late 1990s. Her parents moved here to give their kids a better life and to pursue more opportunities. Karla disappeared on the evening of Wednesday, October 20th, 1999, and hasn't been seen since, but her family has never given up hope that she's out there somewhere, that she had the opportunity to grow up somehow. Police drew strong connections to serial killer Curtis Dean Anderson who was known to be in Las Vegas around that time. http://sinspod.co/episode27sources

"On Sunday, January 11th, I strangled her... she's dead, and she's laying on the living room floor... When Allegan County police showed up to the Fennville, MI residence mentioned in the haunting 911 call, they discovered the lifeless body of 48-year-old Sara Lee Knight in the exact condition described by the anonymous caller. Documents, funeral instructions, photos, and personal items of Sara's had been organized and laid out on the table for police to find. The only thing they couldn't find was Sara's husband, Butch. It didn't take long for police to realize the person who made the call to 911 was 66-year-old Harold "Butch" Knight. Butch had taken Sara's vehicle and skipped town, eventually making his way up to a tiny town in rural Maine. By the time they found Sara's abandoned vehicle, it was too late. They'd lost his trail. Almost a decade later, police are still searching for Butch. This is “Harold Butch Knight: Wanted for Murder” from Murder, She Told. Originally published in September 2023.
