Summary

January of 76 and September of 77, there were three homicides. And as of this writing,

two of those three homicides are unsolved. There are some, like the Birmingham police back in 77, who told the Birmingham

eccentric newspaper that today's case, the murder of John McKinney, had nothing to do with the Oakland

County child killings. John McKinney was a 50-year-old man.

1977. The task force is still in operation. They know that the snow will fly in a matter of weeks, and if they

was a classic fall day in Michigan. A few clouds threatened rain, but temperatures were in the low 70s.

If you closed your eyes, it still felt like summer. Kids are back in school, and many of them

are being driven to and from school. In contrast, a year earlier, before the madness of this case
