The voice on the line belongs to 17-year-old Jonathan Hoffman. Hoffman is terrified, injured, and pleading for help.

My grandma shot me. I'm gonna die.

Jonathan was being shot by his grandmother.

Jonathan Archer Hoffman was born October 9th, 1994, to parents Michael and Jennifer Hoffman.

He had a younger sister named Jessica.

Friends described him as funny, sweet, and generous.

He was one of the funniest kids I know, one friend said.

He was never violent, always giving.

Another friend said, there's no way he could have harmed anyone.

He was very sweet, always smiling.
