Overview

Season 6 - Episode 3 - Dinkle up a monkeys fan fan

As the dark autumn nights settle in, Linda spins and twirls in her salsa class, the only woman in a sea of ladies. The lone man in the class struggles to keep up, his body drained of energy by the spirits that haunt the studio. By the end of the class, he is but a dried-up husk, a shell of his former self, drained of his vitality by the mysterious forces that surround them. The dance floor may seem innocent, but it hides secrets that would send shivers down your spine.

As we prepare for a new season, we must also cleanse our souls and rid ourselves of any negative energies that linger. The story of the 15-year-old girl who can see spirits reminds us that there is more to this world than meets the eye. Her spiritual skills have allowed her to expand her cleaning company, purging homes of any unwanted presence.

The universe holds many secrets, including the existence of extraterrestrial life. Professor Joseph Laevens PHD speaks with Wing Commander Freddy at RAF Northholt about the mysteries of UFOs. The conversation recorded thanks to the MOD is sure to send shivers down your spine.

But not all stories are meant to scare. Fate and Fortune spiritual advisor James Dean Fox offers his helpful advice on finding love, battling addiction, and connecting with the divine.

As Angelos returns, we can only hope that his ghost stories aren't too terrifying. Barry ventures upstairs to speak with organist Irene Harding, but her virus weariness and reluctance to leave her flat hint at a darker problem lurking within.

We continue to explore the unknown with Fate and Fortune's Sandrea Mosses, who receives messages from beyond. And even comedian Susan Murray has her own spooky tale to tell, of a ghostly encounter on the toilet.

Join us for a live podcast, if you dare. Tickets available at www.wegottickets.com search for Clinton Baptiste. The unknown awaits...

Greetings, my spectral spectators! 🌙 This week, the spirits have guided me to a full house in Sunderland—wish me luck! The energy here is off the charts, and I can't wait to connect with all the eager souls ready for a journey beyond the veil. Back in the studio, Linda and I dive into the recent "Xodus" from Twitter. Has social media been shrinking our brains? We ponder the impact of endless scrolling and whether it's time to disconnect from the digital and reconnect with the mystical. We share a chilling ghost story from Tim Fletcher that'll make you think twice about things that go bump in the night. Then, I have a fascinating pre-recorded chat with Sam Duffy in Edinburgh. The Scots always have the best tales, don't they? Prepare yourselves for a spooky (and somewhat cheeky) tale set in Essex about a groping ghost—yes, you heard that right! We also hear another intriguing pre-recorded story from Corrine Bills in Edinburgh. The supernatural happenings up north are truly something else! From our favourite magazine, Fate and Fortune, we delve into a touching story about a lady who had trouble conceiving—a heartwarming reminder that miracles do happen. Linda puts on her agony aunt hat and solves a couple of problems from the magazine, offering her (mostly) sage advice. We wrap things up with a chat with Julian Smith from Second Scene. You won't want to miss what he has to share—it's the perfect blend of the mysterious and the marvellous. Wish me luck as I bring the ethereal to the eager masses. The energy here is electric—who knows what otherworldly encounters await us tonight?Back in the studio, Linda and I experience a bit of déjà vu, which prompts me to burst into song—"Déjà Vu" by the fabulous Dionne Warwick! 🎶 Remember that classic? If not, give it a listen; it's a timeless tune that stirs the soul. Dionne Warwick: https://youtu.be/R2ILm3bJLRY?si=HSjjOebG1dh-lQZp Linda shares some hilarious stories about mistaken identities. It reminds me of a chap named Jim, who keeps getting mistaken for his own dad—the father of Will Lankshear, who plays for Spurs! Imagine being mistaken for someone 20 years your senior. Talk about a blow to the ego!Hold onto your crystal balls, because we've got a spooky recording from Colin Boston From our favourite magazine, Fate and Fortune, we delve into a haunting tale about a ghost girl. It's a story that blurs the lines between reality and the supernatural. We received an intriguing email from our very own producer, Laurie Peters. He recounts a time when he was filming in a graveyard and, after making some noise, felt a knock from beneath the grave he was sitting on! A gentle reminder from the spirits to keep it down, perhaps? For our Patreon supporters, we've attached a photo showing the type of grave he was perched on—spooky stuff! Next, we hear from Kieran Regan at City Varieties in Leeds, sharing eerie theatre experiences—those old venues are truly haunted! We tackle some everyday dilemmas with our mystical twist, including family holidays, the school run, and blending families—always a challenge when spirits (and in-laws) are involved! We catch up again with Peter Normanton from Barnard Castle, whose captivating tales shed light on unseen forces around us.Finally, from Fate and Fortune, we explore enchanting stories about fairies and an intriguing account involving a psychic. A venue so atmospheric, it’s practically haunted by talent! This week, we're without Harry, but fear not—we speak to Alex, my new manager. Let’s see what he has to say for himself! Funny how Harry didn’t mention me in his farewells, but no offence taken! Linda chimes in with a tale of illegal manoeuvres at the dump—she’s run off an old computer, history erased! I used to love the dump, but as I get older, the thought of chucking loads of stuff away makes me sick. Plus, those vicious authoritarian blokes running it these days—absolute jobsworths! It’s like dealing with the ghosts of your past belongings! Next up, a story about people who met over coffee, leading to a discussion about affairs at motorway services. Honestly, I’m always seeing people in suits meeting up there—what’s that all about? It's like the hauntings of secret rendezvous! Hello, my spectral spectators! Clinton Baptiste here, broadcasting from the legendary Cheese and Grain Theatre in Somerset—a venue so atmospheric, it’s practically haunted by talent! This week, we're back on the road with Harry, who, sadly, is leaving us. But fear not, his spirit lingers with us! We chat about his favourite moments on tour—Harry loved the mystical north of England and working with an array of eclectic techs. Funny how he didn’t mention me, but no offence taken! Linda's back in the studio, and yes, it’s still a bit echoey. I’ve draped duvets around to absorb the ethereal whispers. Linda's been treating her body like a temple, dining on poached eggs on toast and salads. Hilarious, considering I just handed her a salted caramel brownie two minutes ago! Now, onto the spine-tingling tales! From Fate and Fortune magazine, we bring you a hair-raising story from Lady Cadaver: "Who Was the Old Lady Walking Towards the Ward?" This chilling tale of a nurse who encountered a talking ghost in the ward is guaranteed to send shivers down your spine. Thank you, Gillian, for this supernatural scoop! I was also in Carlisle, where I met Dave Beatie and his wife Rebecca—both a bit worse for wear after one of my shows. In the bar, amidst slurred words and giggles, Dave recounted a ghostly encounter in a Welsh hotel where the kettle turned on by itself in the dead of night. Rebecca chimed in with her own tipsy tales, making for an evening of spooky, drunken fun. Simply incredible, right?! We delve into spooky signs with Maria Fletcher’s tale of her late mum’s messages from beyond. Blue roses and cryptic car registrations—are these signs from the universe or just whimsical coincidences? You be the judge! Another eerie tale involves a haunted dummy named Uncle Herb. Nothing like a creepy ventriloquist dummy to send shivers down your spine!I also speak to Gavin Cunningham, who sent us a ghost story. Next, we tackle some problems from the magazine Fate and Fortune. First up, a troubling tale about a drug-taking sex-obsessed husband. How can one stop the sex when it's too much? It’s a problem that even the spirits are puzzled by. Then, a problem about a gambling addiction that’s causing havoc, almost as if the cards themselves were cursed. We’re thrilled to introduce Luke Goddard from the Southend Palace Theatre, followed by a recording of an interview with him. Always a pleasure to have a chat with folks from the theatre world, where every stage might just be haunted. Then, we share a heartwarming story about someone who rang the wrong number and ended up marrying that person—proof that fate works in mysterious ways, perhaps guided by unseen hands.
