We’ve all heard of the quarter life crisis… some of us are currently trying to navigate it. I personally think this idea of feeling lost in our 20’s, questioning our passions & goals, navigating friendship dynamics changing, and feeling lost is because our idea of fun is starting to evolve for the first time in years. Suddenly we find ourselves realizing that we no longer have fun doing the things we once did at 18, 21, 25, and so on. Our idea of fun is meant to evolve as we grow, enter new relationships, meet new people, and shift our priorities. As we get older, this idea will evolve at different speeds than your friends which may make you feel boring, lame, and like you are not fun. Rest assured, this isn’t true. It’s time to discover what you enjoy at this new phase of your life without feeling guilty that you are growing out of old interests. You’ll make new friends who enjoy similar things, and you may find yourself reconnecting with friends you once thought you “outgrew”. Oh, and I recap my trip to Aruba with my honest review! It’s about time y’all meet the agency behind me and Fun on Weekdays, J1S! I have been signed to them since February 2021 - they helped start my social media career & podcast. Today I sit down with the founder, Mike Jones, to talk about how his business mindset from an early age helped jumpstart his career as an entrepreneur. From selling his first business, to founding a full service marketing and talent agency, to staying true to core values while scaling, Mike is a role model to me and true display of growth mindset! Am I just a Libra or do I have undiagnosed ADHD? According to TikTok, both. According to my dms, I’m a multipotentialite. One day I’m obsessed with event planning, the next I’m dead set on working in a bridal store, a few days later I’m planning to be a makeup artist, and 3 weeks ago I wanted to be a pilates instructor. What’s so wrong with having multiple passions and not being able to choose which one to pursue? In all seriousness, I’ve learned that my short attention span can actually be a really empowering quality that keeps me on my toes and always trying new things in life! I give you an update on my bridal store interviews, pilates training, and drop some news… spoiler alert, I’M HIRING AN ASSISTANT! Just a couple episodes left in 2022 and I’m ending the year by pursuing the growth of Fun on Weekdays. <3 Join my Facebook group. This podcast is sponsored by Macy’s. Everyone’s favorite Waterboy employee (you read that right, employee not just intern!) is finalllllllyyyyyy on the podcast to share how she landed the role as Waterboy’s first ever summer intern. From video DM’s in her college bathroom (not like that, get your head out of the gutter) to moving to ATX and becoming a full-time employee, Kiara shares what it’s really like to work with Mike and Connor. She shares her transition to post-grad, how having a healthy long distance relationship has allowed her to see her life in another “lens,” and spills some tea about her bosses. Happy Thanksgiving!!! I am so thankful for my listeners and am also thankful for today’s guest, Eli Rallo! From the internet to IRL, Eli is just as witty and energetic as she is on TikTok. We talk about Eli’s corporate job after college, how her background in journalism helped with creating content/ hosting her podcast, and how she signed a BOOK DEAL with Harper Collins!! In true Eli fashion, we end the episode with our rules for Thanksgiving. Wishing you all the warmest holiday with friends and family. <3 Join my Facebook group. This podcast is sponsored by Macy’s.
