Summary

We’ve all heard of the quarter life crisis… some of us are currently trying to navigate it. I personally think this idea of feeling lost in our 20’s, questioning our passions & goals, navigating friendship dynamics changing, and feeling lost is because our idea of fun is starting to evolve for the first time in years. Suddenly we find ourselves realizing that we no longer have fun doing the things we once did at 18, 21, 25, and so on. Our idea of fun is meant to evolve as we grow, enter new relationships, meet new people, and shift our priorities. As we get older, this idea will evolve at different speeds than your friends which may make you feel boring, lame, and like you are not fun. Rest assured, this isn’t true. It’s time to discover what you enjoy at this new phase of your life without feeling guilty that you are growing out of old interests. You’ll make new friends who enjoy similar things, and you may find yourself reconnecting with friends you once thought you “outgrew”. Oh, and I recap my trip to Aruba with my honest review!

Hey guys, wow, it's been two weeks too long since I've had a little one-on-one

0:09.9

chitchat with you guys. I hope you all have enjoyed the guest episodes that we've had

0:14.2

of 2023 so far. Don't worry, there's plenty of great guests planned for the rest of this

0:19.4

year. Next week will be an episode with my bestie girl, Lily. You know her, you love her,

0:24.8

you're gonna laugh with her next week. It's a really fun episode. But today, we're gonna get a

0:30.7

little vulnerable, we're gonna get a little in touch with our emotions today because I want to

0:35.7

talk about something that I know a lot of us are struggling with right now, which is the idea of

0:40.6

feeling like you're in what we consider a quarter-life crisis. And as I say that, I'm telling myself

0:46.7

that sounds so dramatic, but I think it's true. And I made a video on TikTok about this not too long

0:52.4

ago, a couple days ago, just about how your idea of fun changing and evolving in your 20s is a

0:59.1

really difficult thing to navigate, not only with your friendships, but with your relationships,

1:04.4

and with yourself. And I kind of concluded that I think your idea of fun changing is a big reason

1:11.4

why you feel this sense of a quarter-life crisis. So I wanted to talk about that today, how we

1:15.8

shouldn't feel guilty for our idea of fun changing, and basically just kind of how to navigate that.

1:22.4

And for warning, you guys, I don't have a roadmap for you. I don't have all the answers for you

1:26.4

because guess what I'm dealing with it too, but I think that talking through it, I don't know,

1:31.7

makes it, I guess, a little less lonely in some aspect. So let me share this very official

1:38.8

Google definition. I said, what's a quarter-life crisis? And seven summit pathways.com says,

1:47.1

it's a period of uncertainty, stress, and deep soul searching that many young people experience

1:52.8

as they embark on a new chapter in life. Transitions are overwhelming. It's not uncommon for those in

1:58.8

their 20s and 30s to encounter a quarter-life crisis. So you guys may remember that a couple months

2:04.3

ago, I think like around the fall of last year, I made an episode saying, I feel so lost and I
