It's the great Fringe of It Christmas bumper episode! Wrap yourselves in tinsel and adorn your festive (monogrammed, if you're Charlotte) jim-jams as we accompany you through your last minute wrapping, dishwasher loading or quiet moment in solitude for some peace and, erm, giggles. If your Christmas shopping has felt like course work and you too have gone mad for anything loaded with cranberry sauce, you are in the right place. This week Liv lets Father Christmas go at a junction (but not before wondering if it would be rude to overtake the big guy on a residential street), Charlotte watches a trio of Christmas films and Liv, well, nearly watches It's a Wonderful Life. The girls' also reveal their top 3 TV, films and foods of the year- with a live food tasting to end the season- delicious indeed! Thank you for joining us, you wonderful people! We will see you in January for more fun and frolics. If you'd like to share your bronze, silver and gold in the TV and film ranks please do email thefringeofit@gmail.com or slide into our DMs at @fringeofit. Hosted on Acast. After weeks of crafts, Christmas prep, wrapping gifts for the thousands and erm, visual merchandising slap bands- the girls are tired. Evening teas are brewed, Liv is yawning and chat swiftly turns to piles cushions and the new iPhone update. Nope, you haven't got the wrong podcast- stay with us! In the telly talking arena, Liv has self nominated for the Film Recommendation of the year Oscar (it's an imaginary one woman category, and she's set to win) and Charlotte gets deep into pondering what her real favourite snowman nose is. Could it be cranberry, or is it a carrot? Answers on a postcard! There's also a Christmas chips discovery, some in depth supermarket chat and some unruly sausage conversation- but what's new there? Please send us your wonderful festive food recommendations, Radio Times worthy suggestions and anything silly and Christmassy to thefringeofit@gmail.com or cha-chat slide into our DMs at @fringeofit. As we all know, every now and again it will be a week of two halves. This week it's a cocktail of explicit (used loosely) elf drama combined with Charlotte kindly relieving her loved ones of a spa voucher (not all heroes etc. etc.) It's also been an enormous week for the silver screen- if the Wicked Coronation Street comparison doesn't whet your whistle (and Liv's subsequent confession to a lifelong fear of wind) perhaps it'll be our very exciting interview with none other than Emma Mackey and Spike Fearn, ahead of the release of Ella McCay this week. We know! There's also the potential of two new fan clubs: one for Majestic Wine and another for cupcake queen, Fiona Cairns- as well as sausage-gate and the boots that will make you feel like an instant front woman- perfect for party season! To send us Christmas sandwich suggestions, mad elf ideas or just general chit chat- you can contact us at fringeofit@gmail.com, or in our DMs at @fringeofit. Hosted on Acast. The mugs have been switched over. The VM team has been assigned, and Liv's cracked it. The only way to adopt some of Charlotte's festive tenacity and hall decking is a trip to Robert Dyas to purchase two turkey roasting trays, some twine and a whole heap of ambition- what could possibly go wrong?! In a week of crafting attempts and sleep searching, the girls also debate whether they want to be Aimee Lou Wood or simply her best friend, do an integral blind Jaffa Cake taste test and open the can of worms that questions who really is the most handsome animated fox? (sorry)! There's also important Strictly chat, the christening of the Film Cry Chart and rosette shopping too- all in a weeks work! Please send book recommendations and festive biscuit suggestions to @fringeofit, or thefringeofit@gmail.com- love you, bye! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

If you think you've been busy, then look away now friends- because this week Charlotte has been putting us all to shame with a week of hosting, crafting, snowflake making, sewing, bulb planting and almost any other activity you can think of. And breathe! Whilst Charlotte has been cooking her feeds-8 chicken pie, Liv has been hammering CTRL-Y with some tech issues, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel as Liv finally, finally, almost convinces Charlotte to join the Strictly family. Will she do it?! Only time will tell. The girls also talk about their very sophisticated premiere packed lunches (which begs the question: should one put a beef sandwich away whilst in the presence of Kate Hudson?) and Liv ends the week with the nicest bar of chocolate she's ever eaten, whilst Charlotte takes on a new identity as the millennial Marv from Home Alone whenever she's in the presence of a free boiled sweet. You have been warned. Please send us your craft recommendations, Aimee-Lou Wood shows and soup suggestions to thefringeofit@gmail.com or DM us @fringeofit! Hosted on Acast. Feeling down? Having a hard week? Lady muck, sorry, Liv, simply recommends a five star hotel for the night, an eight hour bath soak and erm, perhaps some Homes Under The Hammer to balance it all out. In other big news, Charlotte has made it to print under a defamatory headline and the girls' step in to defend Paddington's title. Where you go small bear, we shall follow. There's also a full day time telly guide, courtesy of self-proclaimed king of terrestrial, Darrell (Liv's doting dad) and a look into Charlotte's Kraft Kupboard (sorry, and her love affair with Kim, Kourtney, Kris and Co. too). If that's not enough there's porridge tips (as sexy as it sounds), bonnet bravery and some ice cream revelations fresh from Jacklin (what we call her now). P.S Please email us, we love it! thefringeofit@gmail.com. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

It’s been a funny week. The Traitors has ended (to which Liv is so cross she invents a whole new word at the spoilers she encountered), Charlotte has realised the Bake Off is better when viewed with an 8 year old and also dives back into a sitcom that first aired in 1981, oh sweet nostalgia. And seemingly, nostalgia doesn’t end there this week. Oh no! Liv has fallen into the steamed pudding aisle (but not before she tucks into her chicken and leek pie) and forgoing summers Ice Lolly rankings- it’s time for the best high street soups- it’s all go! There’s also important cheese board chat, a big Christmas savings plan and Liv getting geese-bumps for this weeks very trendy item. You may well hear it here first! For soup suggestions, letters of support for Charlotte to watch Traitors series 2 (Gorton!!!) and any other sweet nothings, you can email us at thefringeofit@gmail.com or slide into our DM’s at @fringeofit. It’s an ordinary week. Charlotte, or should we say Mariah, is defrosting for Christmas and has the mood boards cooking. Liv is pondering if her house purchase of last year will serve her fittingly this firework night- oh, and Charlotte went… to a gig. A pop show! A rock concert! And has kindly supplied her tips on survival for those of us who prefer to not be out after 8pm. There’s also deep and meaningful thoughts about time, some trendy music (that’s us!), more chatter about Graham Norton than we could have anticipated (our real heartthrob) and important chat on why Charlotte could simply never be a Traitor. We also rhapsodise on what can only be a true piece of Strictly magic- but you’ll just have to hear it to believe it. For your favourite Strictly dances, additional Norton chat or simply some great pre-festive snacks, we’d love to hear from you! It’s a cosy autumn Thursday morning. There is talk of Charlotte’s full-bodied soup, roast hunting and Jack eating chicken once again on the horizon. But! That’s not all- Liv has discovered (arguably) her TV watch of the year, and wait for it, it’s on the wrong side of spooky- what could it be?! The girls’ are also joined by the wonderful Odessa Young ahead of the new Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere movie, and yes, they did manage a sausage and Debbie Harry chat with her (important). In other big and pressing news the chat of Boxing Day hosiery *finally* comes up (FINALLY) as well as Liv’s steer into practical dressing, inspired by Charlie Cooper- her new unlikely style icon. If you have a soup recipe worth writing home about, thoughts on *that* dip or anything else we should love to hear, our postbag can be found at thefringeofit@gmail.com and @fringeofit on Instgram! It's... erm, chapter 4 and we are back with a... poot? Anyway- Charlotte is just about upright and out of the duvet and has some enormous news to share in the shape of her going from being Traitors curious to Traitors committed- what a time to be alive! In the giddiness of it all Liv shares her favourite Traitors anecdote not once but twice- you lucky devils! Plus, diving into the kitchen the girls discuss the best high street bagels, a soup that holds its own in the bin and there's some of the sexiest egg mayo chat you'll find this side of podcasting- don't say we don't spoil you. New episodes out every Thursday- it's good to be back, baby! If you'd like to recommend a great posh sandwich or a telly show worth watching we'd love to hear from you! Like all good things, this season of The Fringe of It must come to an end... So here it is, your season finale! And to make sure they go out in style, Liv and Charlotte are together IRL to talk telly, food and everything in between. There's raincoat chat (Why do some have no hoods? Why aren't all hoods detachable? Why aren't coats the right length!?), there's Strictly chat (obviously), and there's a live tasting to whet your appetites. Liv and Charlotte will be back in a few weeks with a new season on The Fringe of It. And they'd love to have things to read! So message the show on fringeofit@gmail.com or message us at @fringeofit! It's been a week and the girls are already requesting a polite refund on September. But! There's hope yet- isn't there? A promise of autumnal apple cakes, slow cookers, soups and oh, erm, never mind. Anyway! Liv finally, finally completed Love is Blind- and they have thoughts! Mainly Charlotte wanting to bellow 'you're a liar!' at strangers, but there are lots of thoughts nonetheless! There's also the discovery of a dream job they both feel very qualified for, a TV show they won't be sticking with and the return of sixties hair styles- you heard it here last! If you would like to please please send Charlotte a soup recipe for her repertoire you can email us at the fringeofit@gmail.com or message us at @fringeofit! Hosted on Acast. As we slink into the 'ber months it's a week of all things marking the start of cosy season. Beans, Bake Off (even if, erm, there were some power naps) and the autumn classic...101 Dalmatians. Who'd have thought?! Is Glenn Close autumn's new Meg Ryan? Only time will tell... Plus, in a classic case of oversharing, Liv goes into a bit too much detail about her pre-podcast ritual, and despite swimming in Forest Feasts, it's a dictionary the girls appear to have eaten this week as there are new words a-plenty! Just don't make a furore about it! If you'd like to pop us a telly rec, great taste star claim or anything else, we love to hear from you! Does everyone look their very best at the end of August? Or, ahem, is it just Charlotte? (It certainly isn't Liv, let's put it that way). Regardless of whether you have new highlights, a tan and a fierce new passion for bingo or not- we want holiday chat, and we want it now! But it's not just French poolside anecdotes this week- oh no! The girls talk... transfer deadline day?...Grimsby's penalties? and oh... the worst TV review of all time from Liv (but she *has* started Love is Blind, so give her some grace). It all ends with a mammoth yawn session and a Great Taste star-off- what a round up to the week! With Charlotte on her summer holidays (advice on how to find a partner with parents who retire to France within!) it's time to open up the electronic mail bag and see what's inside. Charlotte and Liv answer your questions on finding time for hobbies (or trying to manifest a weekly crafts club), share probably the best party theme that's every been thought of, and read our some listener telly recommendations. We'll be back next with regular programming, and hopefully many tales from sunny France (and suburban south London)! In the meantime, you can send in your own questions, party themes, or just about anything you can think of to thefringeofit@gmail.com, or you can send us a message on IG @fringeofit. Hosted on Acast. Did Charlotte just say… golf?! Not another hobby! Alas, it’s juts another obscure TV show from Charlotte (well worth it, in our opinion) as well as some serious culture-vulturing from Liv (did she just say… Proms?!) and a game that means you can reenact the Traitors at home. But don’t worry, we’re 100% faithful. Plus, in a twist nobody saw coming- Liv discovers a snack that approximately ninety nine percent of the population on earth already consume- and, not to gossip- but there’s a new boy in town for Charlotte in the kitchen area! Find out how he stole her heart (as well as which ice cream *could* be making its way to number one in the charts) all in this weeks episode. Plus, if you’d like to send us something for The Post Bag, we’d love to hear from you! Whizz any and everything across to thefringeofit@gmail.com, or of course over on our IG too @fringeofit. A week of roses and thorns; from broken laptops, old appliances and planned obsolescence to holidays which could be Hinge adverts (Hinge! Hit us up!!), an afternoon floating and a first ever exclusive 1000/10 rating on The Fridge of It- it really isn’t all that bad! There’s also a trendy nut chat we’re sure you’ve all been waiting for, a liquorice rating (nope, this isn’t pensioners hour, STAY WITH US) and some serious keyring comparison. And that’s all before the grand planned snack swap is announced- could it be! What a week! If you have a series you’d like Liv to never complete, or a snack worthy of a rating higher than the above- we want to hear about it! It’s a week of sandwiches worth leaving the M25 for, big TV moments (which show has taken Charlotte on a journey this week?!) and a very apt realisation that Charlotte and Liv might well be podcastings Shrek and Donkey- the glamour! There is also imperative (and delayed) football chat. Did the Lionesses win? Come to us to find out… last! And a discussion on which supermarket is in fact *the* supermarket for foodies! There’s also a dollop of DMC’s with a big chat about navigating grown up friendships as well as some styling queries in the shape of excellent wedding dresses and shoes to boot. If you’d like to have us answer a question for ‘It’s Not For Me To Say’, or just have an excellent recommendation (fridge to film, we don’t mind) you can pop them across to thefringeofit@gmail.com, or of course over on our IG too @fringeofit. The throes of summer can only equate to one thing- and that means that dreams of a full Hallie Parker and Annie James summer camp are rife. For Charlotte anyway! (Just sans poker by the lake, of course). For Liv it’s trying to decode tennis post Wimbledon, trying the infamous Ben Shephard sandwich- and of course roping in her dad for a verified Papa P lunchtime sando review. There’s also all important foccacia chat (or, ahem, aerated bread), dip charting and an excellent telly recommendation which includes not only excellent nightwear but jaffa cakes too. Also this week- Charlotte sweeps in with NEW MUSIC! Is this… the NME?! She also looks for a friend to attend a Rufus Wainwright concert with, so no, this is not in fact, the NME. We’re also celebrating the our personal ‘well dones!’ this week with our little accomplishments and would love to know your wins from the week! Cheese and wine nights? Jazz festivals? Yes, you did hear correctly! This episode comes to you following a week Nigella would be proud of. We know! Who ARE WE?! We have also rolled into the part of summer where Charlotte becomes a human buckaroo of accessories, and Liv reminisces over hair braid stories she’d sooner forget- oh summer, how we love thee! Heavy breathing to one side (apologies, dear listeners), the girls are also back with the slowest culture reviews in the biz! Forever championing longevity of the arts (or so they’re calling it), hotly anticipated reviews of Paddington and… Wicked are IN. And with Charlotte having finally heard Defying Gravity for the first time- it poses the question, where is the best place for singing out loud? From Vinted finds of the year and a chat about looking your age (which could have been another episode in itself)- no ground is left untouched! And, as always, we bloomin’ love receiving your wonderful emails, and if you have a snack suggestion or burning question for our new feature It’s Not For Us To Say (or just fancy sending us a delightful telly recipe too) you can pop them across to thefringeofit@gmail.com, and for courgette-to-Cawley themed carousels and VIDEOS (yes!!!) you can have a nosey on our IG too @fringeofit too. It’s the height of summer, and it was only a matter of time before conversations turned to sexing up salads, growing courgettes and Charlotte beginning the search for The Great Ice Lolly of 2025. It’s also a a slippery slope back into sailor dressing- and with Liv having not done her homework (as well as saying ‘like’ approximately 10000 times), it begs the question- did you try your best or were you at a sample sale? There’s also chat of *that* Aidan scene (yes, that one), an Alex Turner impression for the ages and a big discovery of what can only be described as Shazam for birds- and put it this way, Charlotte can't move for tits in her garden! Are they millennial or geriatrics? Who can tell! One of our favourite things are receiving your wonderful emails, and if you have a burning question for our new feature It’s Not For Us To Say (or just fancy sending us a delightful telly suggestion) you can pop them across to thefringeofit@gmail.com, and for strawberry-heavy carousels and VIDEOS (yes!!!) you can have a nosey on our IG too @fringeofit too. The bras are off and the girls (ahem, Charlotte and Liv)- are back! Just give Charlotte five minutes to remove her contact lenses please... It's the second comeback tour of the decade, and it's like we never left. No stone is left unturned from the last six months; from Charlotte's great rebrand as Corporate Sue, the burden that comes with being featured on Elton John's Instagram stories, a Leslie Bibb bob (try saying that tipsy) and a measly, but dedicated attempt at being a Come What May™️ girlie. With telly talk covering the cross-country Welsh love story of the ages; there's a recipe, strawberry chatter (IN SEASON ALWAYS) and why going to the football for a communal sing-song is an untapped fun day out. As always, we want to hear from you! For the tech savvy, send us your voice notes, bread recipes and song recommendations over to thefringeofit@gmail.com, and for high quality collages, VIDEOS THIS SERIES (we know!!!) and a lovely carousel (if you’re lucky) of things we chatted about you can have a nosey on our IG too @fringeofit too. We told you we wouldn't be gone for long, didn't we! This week is a *very* special bonus episode with none other than podcaster, activist, mental health ambassador and writer Gemma Styles. With today being publication day of her debut book, Why Am I Like This? We pulled Gemma into our virtual living room and made sure we covered everything from coping with comparison and the spotlight effect, managing authenticity online, setting boundaries and why being a human is actually pretty hard (and joyful, and weird and wonderful- naturally, but CRIKEY it's tricky sometimes). In a turn of events, we also enter what can only be described as our Stressful TV Era, Charlotte is caught off guard by the funeral in Four Weddings (...and a Funeral) and we discuss the best frozen sweet pastry out there (nope, t's not a croissant) and being new to Gru (we'll let you decide if that's cool or not)! If you’d like to make some unstressful TV suggestions (all about balance)- you can email us at thefringeofit@gmail.com. We’re also over @thefingeofit and @charlottejacklin and @livpurvis and will see you very soon! As Shania Twain once said- looks like we made it! It’s the final episode of the series, and we go out with a big chocolatey bang (without giving anything away… ahem). From car MOT’s resembling Grease (or not), an inbox worthy of a dreamy scene with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks and a very exciting Blue Peter badge hack (for the first time in TOFI history this *could* be a ‘You Heard it Here FIRST')- there’s a lot to get to your teeth into this week, and that’s before we delve into Have I Got Food For You! It’s been a delight of a series, so thank you so much for joining us- you’re all truly the best, and remember- see it, say it, compliment it! It’s only a little back to school holiday we’re taking *but* as always, we love to hear from you (and would love a full ol’ postbag upon our return). If you’d like to send any celebrity cake gossip to us (as well as songs worthy of TikTok dances, good housekeeping hacks and everything in-between)- you can email us at thefringeofit@gmail.com. It’s the penultimate episode of series 2, and this week The Fringe of It goes to the Fringe! Taking us on a rollercoaster of culture- it’s a buffet of comedy, crying and cabaret as well as a beautiful one woman monologue about Love is Blind (courtesy of Charlotte, sadly not performed at the Fringe… yet). Charlotte and Liv also delve into pressing matters such as bringing back liquid eyeliner and why women complimenting each other on their outfits is an integral part of serotonin sharing in our society. There’s also pan slammingly good cookies, a dessert we *all* need to be adding to our repertoires and an introduction to hip and fresh new artist… Dua Lipa!! You heard it here first! Or last! It’s a late night edition of The Fringe of It this week. And by late night we mean it was recorded at 9pm on Saturday, way past Liv and Charlotte’s bedtimes, resulting in giddiness and the human equivalent of dog zoomies. Liv delves into her mad week which contained: a chic work trip, playing tennis with a certain Wimbledon winner, and a throwback to a childhood phenomenon that she struggled to cope with. Charlotte discusses her recent Vinted haul, the details of which lead to Liv nearly choking on her tea. There’s also a bumper dive into the mailbag to read your lovely correspondence. Stick around for some delicious book recommendations, more info on a listener’s Bridget Jones themed party, and there may even be a spreadsheet of all things Fringe of It*! *Spoiler Alert: there is a spreadsheet, and it’s a thing of beauty!! Wondering about what cereal to buy next? Do nothing until you’ve listened to this episode. Liv discusses her favourite chocolate granolas, and we really get into the merits of a good salad, in particular, the importance of it being well-dressed. Colin from Accounts gets some high praise, and there are some dates for your diary in the form of returning classic TV shows that have got us feeling autumnal in spirit. Liv does a chocolate Marmalade taste test live on air, and we discuss THOSE biscuits from M&S, and the merits of snacking standing up. We share your book recommendations, reminisce over school PE bags and discover the joys of silent disco. This week Charlotte and Liv are looking to the little (and larger) joys of the summer months- with a hot weather medley to get stuck into. Diving straight in with their summer reads and the gateway book that finally rescued Charlotte from her Book Drought 2024, we go from the best reads to the Olympics in one, erm, pole vault and will begin campaigning for pottery painting to be at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. There’s also big talk of chemise summer (what else could one possibly be wearing?!), why men simply can’t help themselves around barbecues and a Miranda Priestly style lecture on the now infamous Charli XCX slime green. So whether you’re listening from the back of the bus or the edge of the ocean- hopefully you know there’s a big ol’ squeeze of joy to be found wherever you are this summer. If your life has been changed by a new musical discovery, we very much want to know- please send us your West End anthems (and everything else) over at thefringeofit@gmail.com, and for high quality collages and a lovely carousel (if you’re lucky) of things we chatted about you can have a nosey on our IG too @fringeofit Hosted on Acast. Is a Bruce Bogtrotter summer the new brat girl summer? What do gym bros *really* have playing in their ears? And will Charlotte ever complete another two-step authentication ever again? A week of big questions and phone updates- all alongside Liv’s acting debut and why she never did quite make it to the bright lights of the West End (a question on, well, actually, nobody’s lips). We also delve into the importance of healing our inner teenagers, why complimenting strangers should be our weekly homework and a vision of smokin’ Austin Butler doing bin bag adverts (if the podcast doesn’t go much further consider us A+ casting directors!) Naturally, we’re after all your dreamy picnic picky bit recommendations, the best/wildest food reviews you’ve read and truly whatever you fancy- we love it all! Ahoy there! Wasting not but a second before delving into grand garden reveals, it’s straight into bulb catch ups before Charlotte *finally* dips her toe into One Day (spoilers and waterworks ahead) and Liv starts fancying herself as a film critic. Is this the end of the Mamma Mia 2 chapter?! Only time will tell!* There’s also an important discussion about weatherproof footwear, a magical Cotswold’s shopping spot and Liv wonders, importantly, if she just simply hasn’t got thick enough skin to be a fashion girlie… As you know, we love to hear from you, and the postbag is pretty much our favourite place! Feel free to send us your thoughts, new (late to the party) discoveries and any neighbourhood gossip and dad jokes to thefringeofit@gmail.com. For photos of our gardens and things we chatted about you can have a nosey on our IG too (if you're lucky there might be a slideshow style carousel or swanky collage) @fringeofit *never, obviously. From Strictly sequins (did…Liv, erm, mention she’d had a birthday?) to primary school P.E- it’s a week of joy shared in all it’s shapes and forms (even if the rules of tennis are still just too complicated for some of us). In exciting news, Charlotte gets deep in pesto-appreciation and we do a *LIVE* (fanfare please!) taste test for Have I Got Food For You?! We also discuss big topics like being a Stanley Cup Girlie™, when Liv accidentally pretended to be E.T and that hour-long Bridgerton scene (yes, that one). As you know, we love to hear from you, and the postbag is pretty much our favourite place! Resisting the urge to brag about pottery for too long *again*, there's a cruise straight into some top telly recommendations- including a brilliant show you may not have heard of and, in our opinion, a perfect film discovery, with a stellar soundtrack (not to brag or anything). We also begin a delayed catch up of the last four years- from children to breakups, there's a lot to cover- but hey, we've got to start somewhere! Also, and most importantly- the jeans we both can't stop wearing (or talking about)- it's big stuff! As you know, we love to hear from you! It’s the best! Oh hello there! This weeks episode is accidentally (or not) peppered with a whole lot of wholesome. From discovering pottery painting, getting into (serious) collaging and the joy of supermarket summer picnic collections (Waitrose and those quiches, we’re looking at you)- it’s a summer feast of all things joyful. That is, until Saltburn comes in. We dive right into how Charlotte fared with a few, cough, certain scenes, the series that Liv has been watching in real time (!!) and get chatting about our better late than never discoveries with a bit of help from you lovely listeners- with a whole lot more in-between. As you know, we love to hear from you! It’s the best! Feel free to send us your thoughts, feelings, new (very delayed) discoveries and any neighbourhood gossip to thefringeofit@gmail.com. *that* Gen Z Sex and The City article: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/sex-and-the-city-gen-z-review-b2525256.html Hosted on Acast. This week self isolation finally kicks in, and we had to avoid not renaming the podcast 'The Cheek of It'. All grumbles aside, we're thrown into Easter weekend nattering (and June's over-indulgent egg hunt), our new favourite (and least favourite) rom-coms, Michael NOT Martin Sheen, the great pickle shortage of 2020, Charlotte's new crafting passion and a very special Betty Magazine charity relaunch. This week is our 50th Episode! This week we have our usual storm watch with Liv half hoping we get to storm Olivia and the usual Telly Talk. Highlights include: Booksmart, The Trial of Christine Keeler and both of us have some odd discoveries, from the Icelandic Eurovision entry to Julian Simmons introducing Coronation Street back in 1998. Our main topic this week is books, we go through everything we have been reading (and not finishing it Liv’s case) in the last 6 months. We are back, a day late (technical issue), with a new episode. On the eve of Liv's launch for her debut book 'The Insecure Girl's Handbook' Charlotte interview's her about all things book related. Just exactly how do you get a book deal, how do you deal with rejection, once you've secured the deal how on earth do you even begin writing a book?! TELL ME EVERYTHING. Liv would just like to point out that it was not her idea to interview herself on her own podcast but Charlotte thinks it's an excellent idea. We also discuss a new favourite bake, Telly Chat and the importance of a cry in the bath: Rosie Birkett's Blondies: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/recipes/0/feast-february-starring-best-rhubarb-white-chocolate-blondies/ Wild Rose: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5117428/ Fighting With My Family: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6513120/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Glow: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5770786/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Queen & Slim: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8722346/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Would I Lie To You: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1055238/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Bob Mortimer: https://twitter.com/realbobmortimer/status/1189592187698323456?lang=en Next in Fashion: https://www.radiotimes.com/news/on-demand/2020-01-29/next-in-fashion-netflix/ The Personal History of David Copperfield: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6439020/ AJ and the Queen: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8404094/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 The Insecure Girl’s Handbook: https://www.theinsecuregirlsclub.com/book https://www.waterstones.com/book/the-insecure-girls-handbook/liv-purvis/9781841883878 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Insecure-Girls-Handbook-Liv-Purvis/dp/1841883875 Hosted on Acast. After seven months away we are back, with a bang or not is for you to decide. This episode we catch you up on everything we have been watching since we’ve been away....warning it's *a lot*. We take you through all the great TV we’ve seen with highlights including The Marvellous Mrs Maisel, Sex Education and we find out what each of our comfort blanket shows are. Liv even gets her Love Island minute, sort of. We also discuss all the great films we've been watching too, including our forever favourite Paddington 2, Marriage Story and we have a discussion which reaches peak shrill levels about Blinded by the Light, a jukebox musical featuring the music of Bruce Springsteen. Let's go back in time to 8 days before *the* wedding, and see how the nerves are holding up and Liv also has a big announcement to make! We catch up about Liv's hen do too, and a we discuss how much we love the seaside town of Deal in Kent. In Telly Talk we discuss First Dates, with the worst 'datee' Charlotte's seen on the show, we briefly discuss the ongoing football taking over the TV, and the question we all want to know the answer too: has Charlotte started Fleabag yet?! We briefly discuss alcohol, hangovers and the book called 'The Unexpected Joy of Being Sober' and our latest clothing purchases. We'll be taking a short break but will be back very soon!
