Summary

Ahoy there! Wasting not but a second before delving into grand garden reveals, it’s straight into bulb catch ups before Charlotte *finally* dips her toe into One Day (spoilers and waterworks ahead) and Liv starts fancying herself as a film critic. Is this the end of the Mamma Mia 2 chapter?! Only time will tell!* There’s also an important discussion about weatherproof footwear, a magical Cotswold’s shopping spot and Liv wonders, importantly, if she just simply hasn’t got thick enough skin to be a fashion girlie…

As you know, we love to hear from you, and the postbag is pretty much our favourite place! Feel free to send us your thoughts, new (late to the party) discoveries and any neighbourhood gossip and dad jokes to thefringeofit@gmail.com. For photos of our gardens and things we chatted about you can have a nosey on our IG too (if you're lucky there might be a slideshow style carousel or swanky collage) @fringeofit

*never, obviously.

No, stick to the plan. Hello, how are you? What have you been up to? Get on with it. What, telly? What you've been watching? This is a conversation 101 for beginners. We're not here for fun. We're truly not. I'm just trying to make sure we don't go off on too many tangents. tangents. Okay, well, seeing as you've asked straight away what I've been up to, I've been away with my family. Where did you go? We went to a lovely little place just outside of Sire Encester in the Cotswolds. And it was so beautiful. I went to the Cotswolds, what, maybe two months ago. And I've been before, but I'd probably say not for a very, very long time. And I know it's not a hidden gem, but it's very pretty. And I can see why it's very popular. Oh, my God. See, I've completely forgotten how beautiful. Like, I've been there a couple of times, but it is like, it's like a Nancy Myers film.

1:13.8

Like, I've never seen so many beautiful flowers outside of houses per mile or square meter in my life.

1:21.7

Yeah, I've got to agree.

1:22.7

And also, I feel like even the country roads and even the motorway, they've got like a lot of wild foliage that just looks beautiful.

1:32.8

It's, honestly, it was so beautiful.

1:35.6

We did quite a bit of driving.

1:37.2

I was just happy looking out of a window.

1:38.7

You could just drive me around, Gloucestershire,

1:41.3

and I just look out of the window and call it a holiday.

1:43.6

Absolutely.

1:44.4

However, I did see on Instagram that your little place had a pool.

1:48.8

Yeah, the little, the little place.

1:50.4

It did have swimming pool.

1:51.3

You were implying that the village was little, but the place looked incredible.
