504 – The Electric State, The Pirate (1948), Black Bag

This week, Patches is out at some game developer conference, so better time than ever for Katey, Da7e, and David to go hard on The Russo Bros’ Netflix offering The Electric State and how maybe the Russos shouldn’t give interviews anymore. Then, Da7e’s girlfriend watched The Pirate (1948) again, have you all seen The Pirate? It’s pretty fun. Finally, it’s another Steven Soderbergh movie, this one a spy-thriller where most of the action is in the lies. Take a listen, embed and/or download below; for more from all of us, follow on BlueSky! This week, everyone is back in the War Room for the same format. If it ain’t broke… I guess! Mufasa, revisit Black Doves, and felt okay about Squid Game 2. It’s a “special” because it’s long and has no format, right? Then, David is out and Patches steps in as Da7e claims the Star Wars franchise has a problem connecting with younger kids that Disney should fix. 487 – The Vulture Movie Fantasy League

This week, everyone is back from their festivals and in the war room to talk about the Vulture Movie Fantasy League. It’s a yearly fantasy movie draft that three of your host participated in last year (Katey won the podcasters league), and this year we have a mini league of our own: the FITWarriors. This week’s podcast we talk (mostly to David) about how to play the game then Patches and Da7e pepper our two festival going hosts with questions about what would make good bets. That allows us to get some info on TIFF Audience winner Life of Chuck and more! Come out and play, Warriors. Head to movie game.vulture.com to sign up and put “FITWarriors” as the “League Name” to compete against each other.
