Summary

This week, David is back from Sundance but Matt Patches has a (lah-dee-dah) dinner he has to get to answer skips out. First, Da7e notices that they have more emails than normal and suggests they stop skipping and read them. Then, Katey curates a conversation with the guys about Academy Award nominations even though that’s what she’s been doing all week for her job. Then, David leads a conversation about some notable Sundance movies even though that’s what he’s been doing all week for his job. Da7e has a grand old time.

1:00.2

I have actually got a real answer ready to go in the chamber.

And the king of trailer reveals trailers, rather, that reveal too much, of course, Robert Zemeckis, who has been very on the record about how people want to know everything about the movie they're about to see before they see it.

And there was the year when, I believe, in the same calendar year, he had a trailer for Castaway that revealed that Tom Hanks gets off the island, followed by or

1:28.2

proceeded by a trailer for what lies beneath, that showed that Harrison Ford was actually

1:33.7

the bad guy, both of which I think any reasonable movie cover would say are things that they

would rather have discovered over the course of the movie.
