In honor of Avatar, Fire and Ash, in theaters this weekend,

what is your favorite special effect, computer generated or otherwise, in a James Cameron film?

This question is obviously very close to my heart, and I'm struggling to come up with an answer,

but I'm going to go with a big one, which is how to make the Titanic actually depart South Hampton the way that it was

that it did in real life, that they had to flip the entire image.

They had to paint all the signage and everywhere up the dock backwards.

And so if you see the behind the scenes photos, all the words are backwards.

It's amazing.

I am Matt Patches, and I think I would have gone with the nuclear blast in Terminator 2 when people are getting scorched.

But I got to say, I was already hardcore Avatar before watching the Disney Plus documentary.

But ever since I saw James Cameron motion capture people on fucking like hovercrafts that

dive underwater, I actually think I'm completely converted to like diving in the water is the

most blissful, majestic special effect that's ever been achieved.

It's not Kate Winslet emoting with a pool noodle strapped to a fence. Yeah. majestic special effect that's ever been achieved.

But from a post-production standpoint, I'd say the diving.
