Summary

This week, it is only Katey and Da7e in the War Room but those two like structure and legacy so this is a full episode of Fighting In The War Room that avoids the Manosphere…sort of. Katey and Da7e catch up on what they have been watching which includes The Pitt Season 1, Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, and…The Masters? Then, Da7e attempts to catch Katey up on Harry Potter franchise news and J.K. Rowling tomfoolery and finally oversteps his lane in a part we needed to cut out (it was a good faith conversation between two hosts who believe trans women are women, not good legal coverage). Then, Da7e and Katey both saw the newest A24 film The Legend of Ochi and have some high praise for it.

Reservoir, cats. In honor of the wedding banquet, what's an outdated 90s movie that you still love and might actually be a good remake in the right hands?

0:12.3

I'm Katie Rich. I wrote the Lightningeron question this weekend. It's very funny hearing Dave read the dumb thing that you wrote. I would also argue that chasing Amy doesn't hold up by the strict definition of

anything, but I think it holds up in many ways. And you know what? You crazy Gen Z kids, you guys

0:25.6

can remake it. It'll work. Hey, it's me, Dave with the Seven, and it's a movie from the

0:31.1

tail end of the 1990s, but it's real outdated. What would a Gen Z version of American Pie even

look like? They all make a pack to lose their virginity. We never actually know if they do because they just decide it's not important. I want to see that movie.

0:45.6

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the war room. Fine, I can hear you now, Dimitri. Clear and plain and coming through fine. I'm coming through fine too, eh?

0:55.4

Good, then, well, then, as you say, we're both coming through fine.

0:59.8

Good.

1:00.7

Well, it's good that you're fine, then, and I'm fine.

1:04.5

I agree with you.

1:05.7

It's great to be fine.

1:07.6

It's a podcast.

Hello, and welcome to Fighting in the War Room is episode 507.

1:13.4

It is the week of Wednesday, April 16th.

1:14.9

That is the day that in 1922, Andy Oakley set the women's sharp shooting record.

1:20.1

She worked a hundred-played targets in a row.

1:21.9

Maybe the only person thought Annie Oakley lived in, like, the 1880s?

1:25.3

I mean, yeah, I do feel like that might have been possible.

1:30.3

But make shooting 100-clay targets in the row 1922 does not preclude you of being

1:37.3

young in the 1890s or 1980s.

1:42.2

I think this is my limited knowledge of the Old West.
