Everybody tells you all the time you've got to have a good attitude. I remember the first time I saw Zig Zig Zigler speak God bless him.

He said, you know, y'all need a check up from the neck up and you know, like everything was all like this attitude, attitude.

And you have to understand, like I was like,

I was a year removed from having a Mohawk

and like being kicked out of my parents' house

and barely getting a GED to graduate.

And all of a sudden this guy is telling me,

you've got to have a good attitude.

And it wasn't until I sat down with one of my mentors Bill Mitchell.

When I said to him, you know, this whole attitude thing, like I don't understand it, I don't get it.

I don't buy fake it to you make it.

I think it's just too fake right like it doesn't work like people read right through it and he said no Tom what you have to understand is your attitude is just about three things. It's about your self talk the things you say to yourself about yourself talk. It's about your self-talk.

The things you say to yourself, about yourself,

and other people.

So you're either building yourself up, putting you in a better state,

or you're tearing yourself apart.

And I was like, okay, that makes sense,

like almost a cause to the effect if you will.

And then he said, but there's more.

There's also the questions that you ask yourself.

So if you're always asking yourself questions like, you know, why does this keep happening
