Summary

In today’s show, we are putting Brian Wick in your passenger seat to discuss his story of growth through the trades and climbing the ladder. Brian Wick started in the industry in 1994, as a helper carrying sheet metal into basements and being the guy on the bottom of the dolly helping to get water heaters and furnaces in and out of basements. He worked his way up to lead installer and service tech and eventually service manager. From there he had his sights set on Operations and General Management and began seeking out the help of those that were successfully operating locations that were of the size he eventually wanted to be and emerging himself in all the training available. Through those lessons from those before him and those doing great things, he learned a lot of what and what not to do and has implemented those lessons into his own organization which is highly focused on employee development, empowerment, and growth. Brian shares his view on climbing through the trades, empowering people, and staying the course even when it gets tough.

We'll have to check with him on that. But we're looking forward to bringing him on, and he's going to be talking about his story, which is a good one, as well as the growth through the trades, which is something that he's accomplished in his life and the opportunities that it still provides to many, many others. Can we get some John Wick jokes out now? Because I don't want to do it when he's on guns.

1:45.4

Lots of guns.

1:47.1

I don't remember any quotes from that movie, if you're perfectly honest. Messed up what they did do is puppy, though. Bobby, Bobby Yaga, was it? The boogeyman. No, he's who you send to kill the boogeyman. Yeah, yeah. That's who it is. I mean, it was, it should have been a great quote, but it was such a poorly executed line. I know, you're a big John Wick fan. I'm a big Brian Wick fan. And we are too. Looking forward to this on the podcast. So Brian's story is one that is one that you often hear on our show and throughout the trades.
