Before we begin today, let's just take a moment to take a few deep breaths. So breathing

in through the nose and then exhaling out through the mouth. And I want to ask you a question.

No pressure, there's no right or wrong answer. But how many times did you complain today?

And just notice what begins to arise in the mind and body. The mind may try to think

of an answer right away. But whatever comes up, just allowing it to be there. And what

on your ready, if your eyes were closed, just gently opening them. So in a previous episode,

I had shared about this challenge that I've been doing, the no complaining challenge.

And basically what happens is that I fast or cleanse from complaining. It could be for

a few hours, a few days, or even a few weeks. And instead of complaining, I try to reframe

my thoughts and feelings in a more compassionate and appreciative way. Sounds easy, but it

really isn't. Especially if you're someone like me who grew up in environments where

gossiping and complaining were the norm. And now, two psychology degrees later, I've

found actual scientific research behind why we should stop complaining or at least limit
