All right, one question has dominated the 20-25 season of climbing gold, and we have not been able to escape it. We have not been able to answer it until now. Alex, what is it? Who the fuck is Hamish MacArthur? Inescapable. No, that was my motto for the entire Olympics. I was in Paris. And literally every day, at least twice a day, I'd say, who the fuck is Hamish MacArthur? Because he just kept, I'd never seen his name. I hadn't seen him in the World Cup that season. I didn't, I didn't know him from anything. And he kept wildly exceeding expectations. You know, every day you'd see him climbing and be like, who the fuck is Hamish MacArthur? Like, he's doing great. Yeah. How do you do? I think he got fifth. So that's ahead of Adamandra.

I mean, a bunch of other big household name climbers, like people that I've known forever where you're like, oh, that person's incredible. And then you're like, and then there's Hamish MacArthur. I was like, I don't know who he is. He's super young. And, yeah, I was just like, wow, that guy's really good. The Olympics, of course, came and wet.

Then what did Hamish do afterwards?

Well, he's had a really noteworthy spring where he climbed V-17 in a single session, which has never been done before, which is totally incredible. Basically, in three hours, he just showed up at Boulder, did the V-15 stand, did the V-17 sit, called it today, and went home, which is totally groundbreaking. He also did Megatron this other V-17 in Colorado. I mean,

basically, he's just been crushing. So today we get to find out who Hamish MacArthur is, and it turns out

he's on that quest to figure out the same question, too. And it's pretty refreshing. There's a 50-50 chance

that he did a ton of mushrooms before chatting with us.

The majority of my time climbing.

At the moment it's pretty 50-50 between indoor training and outdoor climbing.

I'm still competing some this year, so I'm doing bits and pieces of comp-specific stuff,

but I'm mainly thinking about outdoor climbing and wanting to do outdoor climbing.
