On this whiskey quickie, we're going to be looking at a sample that was sent to us from Cotokton Creek.

It is the Roundstone Rye Caskproof at 116.

Ooh, sounds fancy.

Let's go ahead and dive in. What do you think of the nose?

Mm. A lot of young grains, a little vanilla in there.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah, some hay, some grass sort of thing.

And the taste.

It's funky.

A lot of grass, wet grass, earthy.

But there's still something good to it.

Yeah, it's funky good though.

It's like there's a, it's on the cusp of something great, but it's not all the way there yet. That's kind of what I feel. I feel the same way. So on the nose, where are we at here? Sideway thumbs. Sideways, I agree. The taste. I'm going to go thumbs up because it is kind of funky and unique. And the finish. Well, I'll go sideways thumbs. It kind of falls flat, but still promise there. Yeah, and a cast strength, it still gives you that extra umph.
