From the Bible

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

Well, hello again.

0:22.6

There are a lot of resources about sex now, some great and some terrible, but often resources

0:28.3

have some important truths, some debatable points, and some myths.

0:32.5

Today, we want to talk about what really matters.

0:35.1

Hey, ladies, with over a hundred episodes, certain themes seem to repeat. So let's talk about what really matters. Hey ladies, with over a hundred episodes, certain themes seem to

0:38.7

repeat. So let's talk about what foundational concepts we want wives to know about sex.

0:45.1

So I'll go. The foundational point I'd like to make is that sex was made by God and he made it

0:52.2

for good. There's physical benefits for your body and it's emotionally

0:58.1

connecting. And for me, I had to do a paradigm shift because I saw sex as flesh, you know,

1:06.3

when they talk about flesh and carnality and sexual immorality, I didn't see the difference between all of that and sex within marriage.

1:16.2

But once I got it and I understood that sex within marriage is a completely different animal than carnality and lust and all of those negative things, once I realize that sex is good and it's great in marriage,

1:30.7

I was really able to embrace that it was of God. Yeah, sex is definitely God's idea. So the foundational

1:38.5

point I would like all wives to know is that sex is for you too. I mean, this is something we've said it probably a

1:47.0

dozen times, but I don't think you can say it enough because so many women get the message

1:53.5

from an early age that sex is primarily about men. When you get married, sex is primarily for your

2:00.0

husband. Women aren't that interest.

2:02.4

You know, you get all these messages and, you know, it really starts to weigh down your own

2:08.3

sexuality and just makes you feel bad about it. It makes you feel like sex is an obligation

2:14.5

rather than something for you both to enjoy.

2:24.6

So I would really like for wives to get the message that sex is for them too and that God's intention is that both the wife and the husband enjoy sex equally in marriage.

2:30.3

Amen.
