Let's get you caught up with today's seven stories.

Number one, President Biden advanced $1 billion in arms for Israel.

The Biden administration notified congressional committees yesterday that it plans to move forward

with the weapons deals.

It's a major transfer of lethal aid, and it comes after the White House

paused a shipment of bombs to Israel earlier this month. That was over concerns that

a planned assault on Rafa in southern Gaza could cause a huge number of civilian

casualties. And last week, Biden threatened to withhold some weapons to Israel

if it launched a full-scale invasion there. Republicans and some Democratic donors

criticized that move. So this billion-dollar transfer underscores the fact that the

U.S. remains committed to sending weapons to its ally.

Meanwhile, Israeli tanks are moving deeper into Rafa,

pushing closer to the dense urban centers

that Biden has warned against invading.

More than 400,000 people have fled the city over the past week.

Number two, Donald Trump's lawyers tried to destroy Michael Cohen's credibility in court.
