And we haven't done the discussion on autism a while,

so we thought it was good for an update,

especially in light of the fact that I'm speaking

at Generation Rescues autism educational event in Dallas, Texas at the end of September.

So we'll be discussing that.

So welcome and thank you for joining us today, J.B. Thank you very much for having me. that so

many other parents are so you're the father of a child with autism as unfortunately so many other parents are

tragically it's really sad to cite that statistic, but that's the reality of it.

And you were so motivated by what you found out that you wrote a book about it.

But why don't you expand on your story and give our listeners an opportunity to

understand how you came to this position and why you wrote the book?

So yeah, and my wife and I were what I would characterize as very mainstream parents,

which meant that when our second son was born in 2002, we basically handed him to our pediatrician

and did whatever our pediatrician told us to do, which meant following the CDC's recommended schedule,

as you well know.

We started to watch our son decline physically

after every vaccine appointment at two months,

at four months, at six months, at 12 months.

He physically declined.

He got eczema.

His belly became distended.
