I'm John Batch with Professor H.J. McHunder, six capital, six points of view.

Paris is in turmoil because five nights of riots, chiefly in secondary cities, but also

touching the capital.

To do with the violence of police conflict with a young man, but at the same time, to do

with the unhappiness in general about the leadership of Emmanuel Macron, I mentioned

that this comes at a moment when Macron is one of the major players in NATO and is due

in Vilnius within days to meet with his comparable world leaders to discuss Russia.

And I cannot remove the possibility that Russian agents, chiefly trolls or Chinese agents

chiefly trolls are interfering in some profound fashion in this disorder.

Logically, there is no point to continue to burn cars and loot stores for five nights,

especially if you're between the ages of 14 and 18.

Logically, and yet it continues, Professor, just momentarily, you mentioned a call before.

France's unusual governance, it's centrally located.

The president has great deal of power.

It has a leadership that is trained in one or two schools, and that's a lifetime value

that you gain when you graduate those schools.

So it has clearly a system of the elite that everybody must deal with.

The riots are coming in initially in Ban Lue, the suburbs where people were immigrants

or the descendants of immigrants are living.

And the burning of cars reminds of 2005.

But do you measure that Paris is weakening Macron and that Macron weak in any fashion speaks
