NATO and Ukraine, I welcome Judy Dempsey of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Berlin, senior scholar,

to help me interpret what Europe sees as the possibilities of the apparent reversal of the tables by Donald Trump in these last days,

going from no more aid to Ukraine, we need all of our sidewinders to defensive weapons only to let it flow.

What does this mean for Europe, especially Germany, France, and Britain, who've taken the lead in NATO to make promises of resupplying not only Ukraine, but also all of NATO with adequate arms and

personnel to deal with a threat from Russia.

All this is happening simultaneously, so I need Judy's help to measure the remarks from Paris,

Berlin, and London.

Matthew Whitaker is the U.S. representative to NATO, a young man.

He's not yet 50, I believe.

But in any event, well, just 50.

In any event, his remark about a most recent meeting,

we are all moving with haste to facilitate this, meaning

NATO's preparation for the future and for Ukraine. And get this done, and I think things are

actually moving very quickly. He goes on to say, it's very clear that air defense is critically

needed in Ukraine, and we're moving as quickly as we possibly can.

We're leaning in more as well with the goal of ending this war and bringing both sides to a ceasefire.
