UAW launches an historic strike against all big three automakers.

I welcome Selena Zita of the Washington Examiner of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and the New

York Post, who has written of this strike in anticipation some weeks before, but here it

is now.

And the quote from Selena's earlier column in the middle of somewhere is, our goal is not

to strike, said Sean Fein, UAW president.

Our goal is to bargain a good contract for our members, but we prepare for a strike so

that we're ready no matter what happens.

The strike is upon us.
