and unions help build America's middle class. Kamala Harris is making her pitch to union workers.

Vice President Harris used the Labor Day weekend to try and shore up her support from organized labor.

At the top of the show, you heard her speaking to a crowd in Michigan yesterday.

And later at a rally in Pennsylvania, she addressed steel workers alongside President Joe Biden.

It was their first campaign event together since he announced he was dropping out of the race and endorsing Harris.

Harris said her Republican rival Donald Trump has a history of being hostile to workers.

And she said that union members have a stark choice between the candidates.

But as we fight to move forward, Donald Trump is trying to pull us backward.

Including back to a time before workers had the freedom to organize.

He's going to jail.

Well, the courts will handle that and we will handle November.

How about that?

Unions helped Biden win Pennsylvania in 2020, and they'll probably be central to Harris's

chances in the crucial swing state this November. Number two, Israelis staged mass protests against their government.

Thousands of protesters shut down parts of the country yesterday.

They wanted to put pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire and hostage release deal with Hamas.

The demonstrations followed the deaths of six more Israeli hostages.

They were killed by Hamas shortly before Israeli forces recovered their bodies from a tunnel in Gaza. The protesters and the families of hostages accused Netanyahu of torpedoing a ceasefire deal in favor of his political interests.
