Number one, Vice President Kamala Harris said she would appoint a Republican to her cabinet if elected. Last night, Harris's first major interview

since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee

aired on CNN.

Dana Bash asked her a question about cabinet appointments.

Were you appoint a Republican to your cabinet?

Yes, I would.

Anyone in mine?

No one in particular in mine.

I got, we got 68 days to go with this election,

so I'm not putting the car before the horse but I would I think I

think it's really important I have spent my career inviting diversity of opinion I think it's important to have people at the table when some of the

most important decisions are being made that have different views, different experiences.

In the interview, Harris also addressed criticism of her changed policy positions on issues like

fracking, single-payer health care, and immigration.

Her running mate Governor Tim Walls of Minnesota, was also there.

He dealt with some tricky questions about his biography.
