Today we bring back a friend of the podcast, actually somebody who's on the

podcast way way in the beginning four years ago. According to his bio, he's a

conservationist and the founder and director of the American

perimeter trail and its governing body. He's a triple crowner and the first through

hiker of the APT. He's the author of the new book American American Perimeter Trail Volume 1 West, a 14,000 mile journey.

P.S. he's also our favorite guest ever.

Of course, that's according to his bio, but we'll find out.

guest and I looked back I'm like wow that was so early in a podcast I really wanted to land

people who were not just like friends of mine or people that were just

casual hikers you know I was going through Backpacker magazine outside magazine really perusing and sending out emails hoping somebody would bite.

And yeah, you agreed to come on and I was like,

so excited.

I was like, wow, I actually have somebody on here

and you were such a great guest.
