It’s just common sense that you perform at your best when you’re feeling good, when your energy is high, and your mindset is focused. So how do you get more days like that and stop feeling so sluggish? I’d suggest that you track your energy. It’s something I’ve been doing for three decades, and it’s what I’m talking about in this Mindset Monday.

Have you ever noticed that when you feel good you perform at a really high level and when you feel sluggish and you feel down or worse you're in your head?

Well, we all know how you perform in that scenario. My question for you is how many

days in 2024 could you look back and say that day was electric my energy was

right my focus was right my concentration was right the

way I felt was really extraordinary versus how many days like this and I think

you should start to track that you could probably look back over the last at least seven days and get a sense of it because here's what I know.

2025 promises to be a really good year in our industry.

And if you're like me, I'm thinking about how am I going to gear up to feel better every single day

or to perform my best more often than I did in 2024. So you know you, you know the things that

you do that cause you to have better energy, cause you to have a better mindset, cause you

to feel good about the work you're doing and the people

you're doing it with. And you also know what causes you to feel down, to feel sluggish, to be in your

head. You know the difference and I would just ask you to have the awareness

to say I know and now I'm going to do something about it. For years I've talked about run plays at

work and I know for me running place at work means like I'm going to get a good night sleep right I'm not going to fill my head with nonsense at at night before I go to sleep. I'm going to wake up early, I'm going to exercise, I'm going to

listen to something positive, all those things that we know, but it's not just

that. It's also the conscious choice to say, for today I choose to say it's a great day to be alive I'm a

live excited full of energy here we go now that's worked for me for like three

plus decades with little tweaks and little adjustments and you know listening to

CDs or audio cassettes and now it's MP3 and then it was YouTube and now it's

whatever else. The point is this you have a choice. 2025 can be extraordinary if you decide to have more of these days and
