Welcome to Day 4! You're guided in a meditation to accept yourself exactly as you are. There's so much relief in doing this. You're also invited to do the prana mudra to help integrate the parts of yourself you may have been neglecting or rejecting. This is part 4 of a 7-Part Meditation Series Positive Body Image, Episodes 2896-2902.

YOUR WEEKLY CHALLENGE:

Spend some time each day visualizing vitality surrounding areas of your body that you wish you could change.

You are guided with a different meditation technique every day that is customized for the week's theme. Weave the techniques into the most stressful times of your day to manage difficult emotions. Hello there, you are back, and I'm honored you are here. I'm Mary Mickley, and this is

0:08.1

episode 289. I want to let you know that I forgot to record the meditation for yesterday,

0:23.3

so you are hearing this meditation a day late. Sometimes that happens. I think I've already

0:32.0

recorded and uploaded, and I haven't. So here I am back with your day four series. So as

0:41.7

you hear this, it may be day five for you. So you get two episodes today, because I'll

0:47.1

also upload episode five for you. This is an important series. It is by request from one of

0:55.6

your fellow meditators, and this is all about creating a positive body image. I'm going to share

1:05.8

some insight with you as always, and then you will be guided in a meditation where you will have

1:14.9

the option to do a mudra. A mudra, I know for many of you who are longtime listeners, and I thank

1:23.1

1:30.6

technique. And I have to say that it took me a while to warm up to a mudra, because I wasn't

1:38.6

really sure how they worked. Well, a mudra is a way you position your hands. We have a lot of

1:47.2

nerve endings on our fingertips and hands, and when you touch them or position them in a certain

1:55.2

way, it's like yoga or acupressure, and it impacts your nervous system, which stimulates a

2:03.6

corresponding region of your brain. So your mudra for today, that I'll guide you to do, is called

2:14.8

the prana mudra, and it is one of the most powerful mudras of all. It's simple to do. You simply with

2:24.9

both hands doing this, touch your thumb to your little and ring finger. That's it. So just touch

2:34.1

your thumb to your little and ring finger. Your other two fingers, your middle and your index finger,

2:43.2

are just relaxed, probably in a natural way, gently extended outward, or they may even curl

2:53.0

downward towards your thumb. Whatever feels best for you, just simply touch your thumb to your

2:59.2

little and ring fingers. Now, this is a mudra you can likely hold throughout your entire meditation.

3:07.1

So what this mudra does for you is considered a very grounding mudra that represents a full
