| 0:26.0 | And you're always guided on this day with a breathing technique. |
| 0:32.0 | The power of your breath can instantly calm your mind and your body. |
| 0:39.0 | It's a beautiful way to transition from whatever you were doing before you sat down to meditate to a state of inner peace. |
| 0:50.0 | And we continue along with our positive body image meditation series, which is by request from one of your fellow meditators. |
| 1:01.0 | I happen to be at the beach for Memorial Day weekend. And I live in Florida and I live in an area that's very international. |
| 1:11.0 | And I was at a beach called Lido Beach, which is a barrier island just off the coast of Sarasota in Florida. |
| 1:20.0 | This was a great weekend, Memorial Day weekend, to people watch. And so as I sat on the beach, I noticed that a lot of people felt incredibly confident about their body image. |
| 1:38.0 | And that other people you could see did not. |
| 1:43.0 | And when I began to notice what the difference was, it seemed to me that people who were focused on enjoying the day with others, meaning if they were there with their families, |
| 2:05.0 | they felt uninhibited about how they looked. They were really engaged with their families and socializing or watching their children. |
| 2:18.0 | They seemed not to even pay any attention to how they looked and they seemed very happy with themselves. |
| 2:27.0 | Well, I did notice some other people who didn't seem so comfortable. And most of these people seemed like they were single or maybe they felt like they were being evaluated or judged by a potential mate. |
| 2:47.0 | This was very interesting to watch. And I'm sure you've seen this go on before. And I thought about how body image really adjusts to the stage of life you're in. |
| 3:02.0 | If you have a lot of other things going on in your life that you're engaged in, you're often not as concerned with how your body looks because you're more concerned about raising your family or pursuing your career or whatever it might be. |
| 3:24.0 | And this is especially so if you are partnered up with someone and this makes sense and it's not a new revelation by any means. |
| 3:36.0 | But I want to share this with you because if you're going through a stage in your life where you're very concerned about your body image and you're not happy with how you look or feel. |
| 3:52.0 | Know that if you become engaged in other areas of your life, it can help balance out feeling consumed by how you feel you look. |
| 4:07.0 | Because many people can become very focused on their body image to the point where they're not wanting to go places or do things because they have such a poor self body image. |
