I have to make sure I don’t explode, walk out, or start shouting—reactive behaviors like that won’t help me accomplish anything. Instead, I step away, take a moment to reset, go for a walk, get some fresh air, and take a deep breath. Thoughts on Breathing I think that breathing is indicative of where you are at emotionally. If I am rushing and am out of breath, I know I am I danger of over-reacting. We had no stable home, struggled to adapt, and faced bullying at school due to our accents and outsider status. With little adult support or accountability, it was a harsh environment. That experience shaped my passion today—recognizing how, even in corporate life, a lack of accountability can allow similar harm to persist.

I think it's a very relevant term that's in some ways overused.

And I think for each person it's something different.

But I think being aware of your state of mind, being aware of how things might be changing as your days going on.

So you can often start, you can wake up and you can feel great.

And then things will affect you and your attitude and things will start to change.

And before you know it, you may well have a dip. And how you recover from that dip is actually really key to your own position.

You need to sort of reboot and go back. Hold on a sec. Balance yourself again, get rooted again

before you can go forward. And I think if people can learn how to do that in relatively simple

ways, it will take a lot more stress out of their day.
