I'm Alexa Delarocco. There's no denying it's very difficult to find a one for one

quarterback comparison for Kenny Pickett.

What current or former quarterback

does Kenny Pickett's physical traits and play style

most remind you of.

At least in my lifetime, one name sticks out like a sore thumb above the rest.

And I believe that's a good thing.

When I try to find the best one-on-one comparison for Kenny Pickett, I keep coming back to the 2017 version of former Chiefs and 49ers quarterback Alex Smith.

To start, the height, weight, speed, and mobility is eerily similar for both former first-round picks.

Both quarterbacks are deceptively mobile.

Both stand out at around 6 foot 3 220 pounds and both ran right at or close to a 4.7 second

40 yard dash.

During Smith's tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs, he averaged

334 rushing yards per season. I believe Kenny Pickett should be at or hopefully above that 334 yards per season mark throughout his career.

Alex Smith's 2017 season is one that Kenny Pickett should strive for.

Smith posted a line of 67.5 completion percentage,4, 42 yards, 26 touchdowns, and only 5 interceptions.

The 2023 Pittsburgh Steelers want to play bully ball and take their deep shots when the

matchup presents itself. I believe it's not only possible, but probable, that Kenny Pickett can not only meet but probable that Kenny Pickett can not only meet but also

exceed and strive for these numbers from Alex Smith. I believe if he puts up

similar statistics as Alex Smith's 2017 season with the 2023

Steelers, they'll not only make the playoffs but also win their first playoff game since 2017,
