Ross McCorkel. While George Pickens was out with his hamstring injury for three games,

Calvin Austin III was one of the few bright spots on the Steelers struggling offense. Against the

Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens, he had nine receptions on 10 targets for 130 yards while

Pickens was out. Coaches were talking about how his emergence was more than just the product of

Pickens being out. It seemed like his breakout was finally happening. Over the last two games

since then with Pickens back in the lineup, he has just six targets with four catches for 31 yards,

including just one target against the Bengals last week with no receptions.

It was a drop, so that's on him.

If he was able to find ways to get open without pickings in the lineup, without a wide

receiver one to take attention away, then he should certainly be able to get open with

pickens demanding additional attention from top corners and safeties over the top.

It's the playoffs now.

It is do or die time.

I would love to see Austin be a bigger part of the game plan on Saturday.

He had 366 receptions for 568 yards and four touchdowns this season.
