All right. Welcome everybody to the Jim Acosta show. Epsteingate continues. We're almost two weeks into the cover-up scandal, and we still don't have answers to the questions. What did the president know and when did he know it? I suppose another question that's hanging over everything might be, what did the president do, and when did he do it?

We haven't had a chance to talk since this Epstein-Gates thing just blew up.

Your thoughts on this.

I mean, today, Caroline Levitt, the White House press secretary, who's always in over her head, you know,

she was able to basically get the message out today that they're shooting down the idea of a special prosecutor in the case.

Yeah, I mean, you want to talk about hearing something that would send a cold chill down your spine

if you worked in the Trump White House.

It's Laura Lumer demanding that there be a special counsel to look into this.

And the one thing, the one fundamental lesson is if you work in a White House, is you got to be criminally stupid to ever allow for the signing off on a special counsel, right?

It's Bill Clinton's greatest regret, and Donald Trump will never, ever, ever do it.

But the fact that some of the craziest voices in MAGA are demanding that he find one, that he

investigate this, shows the dimensions of what this is. And I just, I love this quote from

John Kennedy, which I, which I think is the great quote of this era that summarizes everything.

And it was from his inaugural address

where where he says beware to the foolish men who seek power by trying to ride the tiger

only to wind up inside the tiger and this is a story about people's journey into the belly of the tiger that they tried to ride.
