Boys outnumber girls three to one, even in

G-rated family films. Female characters are more likely to be portrayed as eye candy, even in

G-rated films. We see that characters in G-rated films are equally as likely to be wearing revealing clothing as women in R-rated films.

Female characters are often seen as less valuable than their male counterparts.

Even worse, there has been little forward momentum for women and girls in the media for more than
