He is the Small Business columnist for the Guardian newspaper, UK and US Edition,

our hometown newspaper of the Philadelphia Inquire, he writes for

other distinguished publications about small business

asking the future and why you go immediately to some big metrics in these last hours.

U.S. job growth, 272 in May.

That sounds positive.

It was interpreted by the market as no help.

In addition, we have private employment increasing in May, 152,000. What's the difference? A lot of government hiring.

Gene, a very good evening to you, government hiring.

You've been traveling this week, you were in Nashville, Tennessee,

and you were addressing the Alabama Bankers Association.

Now bankers know where the market is because money's more expensive than it has been

in decades.

What is their approach to waiting on the Fed? Good evening to

you, Jane. Hey John, yeah, so I spoke to the Alabama Bankers Association this past week,

just about the issues that are impacting their customers, Alabama

small businesses, which you and I have talked about ad nauseum on this program, you know,

higher cost, labor shortages, all that.

But the bankers themselves, you know, they're competing right now.

They tell me that there's no shortage of funding for businesses.

There's and they're looking to lend money to small and mid-sized businesses.
