This is CBS High of the World. I'm John Batcher. The Vegas report Jeff Bliss's

specific watch. However, when we left Jeff left High Roller Bliss, he just

come from the strip.

I say that without quite knowing what it means.

And he was reporting on a healthy weekend in Las Vegas.

He's now returned to the land of California to report on a land sale next to the

fountain blow for a hundred and twelve million dollars. What costs a hundred

twelve million dollars in of land in Las Vegas. How much Jeff? Good evening to you.

Good evening John. So what we're talking about is you know what cost that

much location location location. It's five acres nearby to the Fountain Blue, which is this beautiful new hotel that opened up this past year after more than a decade of it being in the works and being built.

It's a gorgeous hotel and they want to inquire the

five acres nearby and further build out the resort, which is a good sign. It

shows that they do believe in the resort, which has been kind of struggling

since the beginning of their opening, but it also speaks highly

of what Vegas looks like in the future.

We know that over the next 10 years or so, Vegas is going to be surpassing the 3 million mark when it comes to the population.

And we know it's going to continue to grow as a sports, you know, play for sports, whether Formula

one or hockey or you name it football baseball

so this is a good sign it shows that they're putting big money into it

but you said a hundred and twelve point five minute

that's a pretty pricey you you know, price tag for five, eight years.
