Probably an emotional roller coaster for her when she found out that she was being invited to be a bridesmaid.

wait a minute. I'm the backup it wasn't like in the

first team somebody must have bailed and now um the like backup bridesmaid

and she's feeling a certain way about it Abby's got

know how to feel about it recently a dear friend of mine who lives across the country called me up with

some exciting news. She asked me to be a bridesmaid at her upcoming wedding.

Naturally, I was incredibly honored and thrilled to be a part of her special day.

However, something unexpected came to light that has hurt my feelings and I don't know if I should let

it go or say something.

It turns out, I'm not the bride's first choice for a bridesmaid.

I learned from the original bridesmaid who was demoted that I am actually the backup bridesmaid.

The original bridesmaid was demoted due to some

critique she made about the bridesmaid and when she saw on social media

that I was announced as a new bridesmaid, she felt compelled to inform me of the truth.

This news has left me torn.

On one hand, I'm still honored to be included in the wedding party, but on the other

hand, I can't help but feel a little hurt that I wasn't the bride's initial choice.

I'm not sure if I should address this with the bride or simply let it go.
