is raining. And one of the things that I love about rain is that it is very, very

soothing for me personally. And it's not a coincidence that today I want to

talk a little bit more about self-soothing. I literally was not going to record

this podcast episode right now. It's actually pretty early in the day for me. And

I'm doing my just, I guess let's just call it inner work time. But as soon as it

started raining, I said I cannot resist this opportunity. So if I am in a very

kind of chill state, that's exactly why the sound of rain is very soothing for

me. So, you know, usually, well, first of all, again, the topic today is self-soothing.

I want to talk a little bit very briefly about that because we are again

approaching the holidays or we're pretty much thrust or bitwicks the holidays

right now. And I know that this is a very stressful time for us. It is a very

stressful time for some of us, I should say, not everyone, especially for us as

black women. It can be a very stressful time for various reasons. Ones that we've

talked about quite a bit on the show over the last couple of years. So I want to

just dive a little deeper into that in case you're having a little bit of

of a challenge in maybe feeling like you're in control of your emotional state,

or you just feel like you know you're going into the danger zone, I guess, if you have to
