0:13.2	It's been dark times lately, especially if you live in America.
0:18.7	Liberties are being taken away.
0:20.8	Women are essentially being demoted to second class citizens with the turning back of
0:26.7	Roe v. Wade and abortion being banned in several states.
0:31.2	These are really unprecedented times, like if you are under the age of 50, you've never
0:36.6	lived in an America like this.
0:38.6	And the news of Roe v. Wade came after several mass shootings, several hate crimes, were
0:43.9	still in the midst of police injustice against black people.
0:49.2	I'm still recovering from seeing the photo of the second graders that were shot down
0:54.2	in Evalde, Texas.
0:56.7	There's a lot happening right now and it's a lot to digest and I don't want to pretend
1:00.5	like everything is like fine and great and like, I mean, things are always going terrible
1:06.3	to be honest, but it does feel like lately.
1:08.4	And I'm speaking as an American in America that things have been especially rough.
1:14.2	I also think school shootings have always happened.
1:18.4	But now having a son that's getting to the age right, I've just started thinking about
1:23.1	like preschools.
1:24.1	It's like coming to terms with the fact that he's going to have to do active shooter trainings
1:28.6	in school is a lot.
1:31.1	The Highland Park Parade shooting just happened as I'm recording this and it's just scary
