Summary

Today we’re coming around my release of Fly the Nest Song (Carry You) which is a song that has truly helped me mark this moment of our kids “flying the nest.” There’s a lot to hold in this bittersweet season of letting go! We can hold truth or lies, peace or anxiety, freedom or fear. Even if you’re not launching kids into this world, we can all still learn to grow in the letting go of things we want and people we love. And if we have eyes to see it, God is always leading us and invitin...

Hey, all you beautiful people and welcome to the glorious and the mundane podcast. I'm your host, Christy Knuckles.

0:19.3

This is a place where we come together and explore what true

0:23.1

and authentic life in God looks like, even on our most ordinary days and moments. Well,

0:29.6

happy April to all of you who are listening in real time out there. If you follow me on Instagram,

0:35.0

you've maybe seen my stories of our family hunkered down in our

0:38.7

basement bathroom several days this month already as spring storms have been in full force

0:45.5

here in Middle Tennessee. There was one night this past week that we didn't sleep all night.

1:23.3

don't mess around when your phone sirens go off. So the other night was a tough one because as

1:29.8

soon as we'd go bed back down to try to sleep for just a minute, you know, between the storm cells,

1:35.4

our phones would go off again. So that's when we just decided after like, you know, the third

1:40.0

or fourth time just to stay up, stay sheltered. The great thing was, is that we knew that

1:46.0

everyone else in the entire city was up. So I was texting friends and our son Noah at like

1:52.0

3 and 4 a.m. We also started bringing our hard drives with us down into our little tornado shelter

1:59.3

because one of them has our entire new

2:02.7

Lelaby album on it, which is not something you want to lose in a storm. And speaking of, you may

2:09.6

have seen that we released a new song this past Friday called Fly the Nest song, Carry You. And
