It is here that I love discovering

along with you what life and God truly looks like right in the middle of our most ordinary

days and moments. If you are listening in real time, happy Easter weekend to you. It almost

doesn't even seem possible for it to be Easter. But it is upon us,

and I truly love Easter so very much. Some of my favorite moments and memories of resurrection

Sundays past are really wrapped up in my mom's side of the family. Her dad, who we called

granddad while we were growing up,

and then when he had great grandkids, he somehow became G-paw. But he used to host a community

wide picnic on the Saturday before Easter at this local park. And he would reserve the entire

facility, including their little indoor small arena where you could host little concerts.

And he and all of his friends who played bluegrass music live on the regular, they would have like an all-day jam fest in this little community room on this little community stage.

He would usually talk me into singing something,

even from the time that I was a little bitty girl. And he would also host a massive Easter

egg hunt for all of the kids. This was one of his favorite things. He would always grab a couple

of adults, and they would all go outside, you know, to hide the eggs.

Most of them were super obvious for all of the preschoolers, but there were always a few eggs

that were infamously hard to find, maybe even were never found.

But this gave him so much joy to bring the community together, especially around music.

But another favorite memory I've told you about before is almost every year, my sweet mom,

she would sew me an Easter dress.

And I remember loving so much getting to go to Hancock's fabrics in Muskogee, Oklahoma,
