Hey, all you beautiful people, and welcome to the glorious and the mundane podcast. I'm your host, Christine Ackles.

It has been a minute since I have uttered those

words, but it's really sweet to be back with you as we head into the spring of 2025.

This podcast is where we explore what true and authentic life in God looks like, even on our most

ordinary days and moments. I am going to be easing back in the spring

to the podcast schedule with just a couple of episodes this month, and then gradually we will

build into more as we get deeper into the season. But as I've been preparing to relaunch the

podcast, we've been all over the map here weather-wise.

We've had some days that still feel very much like the dead of winter here in Franklin.

In fact, we got what felt like a big last-minute snow here to wrap up the end of February.

And of course, you know, here in the South, that shuts the whole city down.

All the schools were closed again.

And the night before, I went into the grocery store to grab a few things.

And, well, thankfully, I had already done my big shopping for the week because it looked like the

apocalypse in several sections of the store.

Me and another guy were standing where they normally have piles and piles of potatoes.

And when I tell you that there was not one single bag of potatoes left, I'm not exaggerating.

Since he was a stranger, we didn't really say much, but we did glance at each other with a little bit of a side eye as we both surveyed the

sight of the great potato looting, as he very quietly said to me, we're getting snow for one day,

holding up his pointer finger to drive home the fact that it's just one day of snow, Nashville.

I couldn't help but wonder what all those people who took the potatoes were going to do with them.

I'm like, that's a lot of potato dishes in this little neighborhood.
