I'm John Batchel. This is the New World Report. Professor Ivan Ellis of the U.S. Army

War College just returned from the disorder in Bolivia. And we look to the order in Buenos Aires, led by

Javier Malay, the president, who has an opinion piece on the front page of the Financial Times.

That's the pink newspaper out of London read by all the markets in Europe and the United States.

Javier Malay goes the headline.

Argentina invites AI to free itself, subhead.

As we enter a new era of technology,

AI must be permitted to develop without premature regulation,

signed by the President of Argentina.

The significance here is that I've been following the story of regulation. In the United States, at the state level and at the federal level,

there are regulations proposed to contain or in some way police, guard rails, there are

a lot of metaphors here.

Javier Malay is arguing that it will develop with best if it doesn't have what he calls premature regulation.

Of note, Peter Thiel, associated with billions of dollars at the same time, a founding member

of the AI club.

It tells us that he has moved his residence to Buenos Aires.

These two episodes, the Financial Times op-ed and Peter Thiel's move,

look to be related in some fashion.

Professor, Malay is getting into the high end.

Is Argentina ready? The very high end, he's wandering into the high end. Is Argentina ready?
