it's important to distinguish at these moments, heated rhetoric, you know, he did wartime rhetoric

from actual military planning. And I think the

Israelis have unfortunately developed a very Middle Eastern habit over the years of matching their

adversary's rhetoric or attempting to match their adversary's rhetoric on some level with bombastic

statements during wartime. And it's important

to read in between the lines. So we've heard, you know, Israeli defense minister Katz, who I would

say is on the more, relatively more legitimate end of things, talk about occupying up to the

Southerly Tani River, you know, permanent evacuation of the resident, well, maybe not permanent,

but evacuation of the residents there until the residents of northern Israel, their safety,

their return to their homes and security can be assured, which some have interpreted as

permanent depopulation of the south.
