You're built to win it. I'm John Batchel with Bill Rajo and Assana Connie, my colleagues, and we're looking at what appears to be a standoff between the United States and its Israeli ally and

the Islamic Republic of Iran. Bill, I come to you because we hear again and again boots on the

ground, the metaphor for ground troops, the metaphor for the U.S. Army, along with its marine ally.

You wore those boots on the ground. You understand that

somewhere there is a series of hangar somewhere filled with 18 to 20 year olds being told they're

on the ready. Okay. To do what, Bill? What are boots on the ground to achieve in such a hostile landscape under enemy fire well we witnessed this weekend what that might look like we lost seven aircraft probably over 350 to 450 million dollars worth of equipment just to extricate one U.S. soldier.

Now, on a wider scale, serious putting boots on the ground, I can't imagine it would be

for anything other than occupying those islands in the strait, perhaps some coastal

territory to keep the strait to Ormuz open.

But that's going to come at a cost, John.

The Iranians still possess tube artillery rocket system, Ketuzha rockets. They have infantry,

as we just saw over the weekend. Mortars, there's going to be, you know, to occupy Iranian territory

will come at a cost of U.S. equipment, the drones that will be coming in to target the U.S.

soldiers and the equipment that supports them. I don't see this as a viable option, particularly

since, you know, as I mentioned earlier, that clock is ticking. And I think, John, I just want to
