| 1:01.7 | But there was a very important negotiation between Mercosur and the European Union. |
| 1:06.4 | There was some fears by certain countries in Europe like France that the enormous productive |
| 1:13.3 | capability in agriculture of Brazil and secondarily Argentina could overwhelm and unfairly |

| 1:21.9 | And so there had been a lot of pushback about the fine points. |
| 1:25.5 | But an agreement after much difficulty was just achieved finally |
| 1:31.0 | in Brussels, and so this is historic, it opens up a much expanded trade relationship between |
| 1:36.9 | these South American countries and the European Union, which in some way could offset some of the |
| 1:42.7 | pressure that the U.S. is putting both on Mercosur |
| 1:45.6 | as well as on Europe with respect to tariffs. And at the same time, it also moves South America |
